Description

This addon adds the Mexican Mountain Airstrip to the sim; possibly one of the best back country strips in Utah. It is located along the banks of San Rafael River in the northern part of the San Rafael Swell. The area offers an other-worldly and untouched environment to fly through. The airstrip is only accessible by air or foot and is part of a wilderness study area.

Along with adding the airstrip, the addon also fixes some small terrain issues that were present along with covering up an auto-generated road that cut through the airstrip.

It is marked on the map by a star and can also be found by searching the following identifier: U692. The runway is a 1900ft long, 40ft wide strip of dirt. For a breathtaking entrance, fly into the strip from the neighboring Green River Municipal Airport(U34).

This is a nice little remote strip surrounded by Utah canyons. Plenty of canyons, cliffs, and there's a nearby river. I found some videos on Youtube of this place too. I had fun making a counter-clockwise loop around the mountain and coming in for a landing. Hidden Splendor airstrip is 15-20 minute hop away. Beautiful places to explore.
