Description
KVCB Nut Tree Airport
Founded in 1955 by Ed Power Jr, son of Ed Power Sr. and Helen Harbison Power who founded the famous Nut Tree roadside fruit stand and restaurant in Vacaville, CA. It was a famous stop along the Lincoln Highway in Northern California for many decades before the Power family closed the restaurant in 1996. The Nut Tree Airport was originally part of the restaurant where aviators can fly in, ride the train and enjoy one of many famous meals that so many people have enjoyed over the years. In the 1970's, the family sold the airport property to Solano County and has continuously operated as the county airport ever since.
In this scenery, I fixed all the lighting, taxiways, corrected the buildings, added perimeter fencing. Majority of the scenery items come from FS2024 up to the Aviator edition. Additional scenery elements are listed below. I also updated the CTAF frequency to what it is currently published (122.85) Please provide feedback if you have any issues.
To have all the airports in Solano County enhanced, recommend downloading all my previous scenery builds (8Q0 - Travis AFB Aero Club, O88 - Rio Vista Municipal Airport, Private Airports of Solano County) at https://flightsim.to/profile/flybylatham/collections and Travis AFB on MSFS Marketplace.
