This is our second "Waynesboro" airport, the first one was in Georgia!

The default windsock is too big to place on top of the hangar and therefore is omitted from this enhancement, for now

Great urban scenery. I made a video, to highlight your attention to detail as well as your superb craftsmanship, Thanks. I just flew the wrong plane, as it was a one time, freeware plane, used only once is this video. Keep p the great scenery. https://youtu.be/vCRFybPsAEA?si=HDDTH-g5ub43lcoH

Hi @smoothflyer, great video thanks for sharing it! Of course the AI ground traffic had to steal the thunder...

While taxiing to RWY 6 just past the long building something crashes the airplane. There is nothing visible that should cause this. It seems to grab the right wing and causes the plane to turn right very quickly.

Hi @Bayoutalker, thanks for reporting this issue, we will investigate and release an update if necessary.

Hi @Bayoutalker, we taxied a C172 down the taxiway towards runway 6 and did not encounter any collision in front of the long hangars. Can you verify the aircraft type you were using when you experienced the collision? The long hangars are "collision enabled", if the wingspan of the aircraft is too wide, it will collide with the object rather than going through.

I tried it with a high wing aircraft and it did not happen. With a low wing like the Beech G 36 it does occur but I had to hold to the right side of the taxiway. With a slightly longer wingspan I can stay in the center. This is not hitting the hanger as it is past the hanger when it happens.

Here is a video so you can see what is happening. I didn't cause the turn at the end, The crash did.

Hi @Bayoutalker, thanks for the clarification. The video is very helpful. We will investigate further into the mysterious invisible box by the taxiway.

Hi @Bayoutalker, we tested the airport on 3 separate systems (both FS20 and FS24) and it seems we are unable to reproduce the issue. A low wing aircraft is able to pass through the area in question without colliding with anything. So the mystery deepens...

To further investigate the matter, please kindly activate the collision debug in the sim. This feature highlights any collision boxes in red. To access this feature, activate the developer option in your sim, and select "debug" from the top menu, then "Collisions" and finally "Simple shape collisions". Hopefully this will at least identify the culprit of this invisible object. Meanwhile, we appreciate your patience in the process.

In Developer Mode the Debug did not show anything in that area and the plane did not hit any obstacle. In normal mode the crash does still occur.

I also emptied my Community Folder and only installed this airport and the plane still hit the obstacle. So no conflict with any other add-on.

Anything else you would like me to try?

I also tried with an empty Community Folder. With the stock airport there was no crash in either normal or developer mode.

    I hope this helps.

No change with the latest update.

Hi @Bayoutalker, thanks for testing with an empty Community folder. Perhaps MSFS settings can be the culprit? We checked our scenery, there is nothing placed at that location. Also, you may also try taxi the airplane along the forest north to the rest of the fly-in neighborhood? Maybe it has to do with vegetation?

There is no vegetation where this occurs, only a dirt patch. I have also taxied all over the airport and have not seen this anywhere else. I have never seen this at any other airport either.

Lovely piece of work thank you!

Could we have a windsock - I couldn't see one - apologies if I missed it

Hi @FERG, certainly. The windsock was omitted because the default one was too big to mount on top of the hangar. We will include a custom one in the next update, stay tuned.

Hi @FERG, we've added a windsock above the hangar in the latest update. Enjoy!

Added custom windsock above the hangar, as the default windsock cannot be resized and it is too big for this location.
