Jekyll Island Airport (09J) is located on Georgia's Golden Isles. The single-runway non-towered airport serves the community of Jekyll Island. There is an FBO building on the airfield, which doubles as a golf-cart rental agency for the island. 09J is located on the west side of the island, the north-south oriented runway creates potential conflict with neighboring St Simons Island Airport (KSSI). 

More information about 09J is available at Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT), including the airport diagram and future plan to extend runway 18 threshold north by 285 feet.

• Custom building: Red Bug Motor, utility shack, gazebo, and maintainence hangar with Jekyll Island title
• Windsock with pattern direction indicator and segmented circle
• Custom FAA Airport Rotating Beacon on top of a water tank about 1.0 NM northeast of the airport
• Self-serve fuel facility on the north end of the ramp
• Obstruction light towers on each end of the ramp to warn pilots about the tall trees east of the runway

Installation

• Extract the "c3d-airport-09j-jekyll-island.zip" into your "Community" folder.

Known Issue

• MSFS2024 aircraft spawning at parking spots may appear floating, or with missing landing gears (regardless of LOD). This is an issue with MSFS2024, the issue has been reported and logged on the Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums.
