ENMH - Mehamn airport.

Mehamn Airport is a regional airport serving the village of Mehamn in Gamvik Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It also serves the villages Kjøllefjord and Gamvik. The airport is located 2 kilometers outside of the village of Mehamn and is owned and operated by the state-owned Avinor. The tower is today remotely controlled from Bodø.

The asphalt runway is 880 meters (2,890 ft). Services are operated by Widerøe using Dash 8-100 aircraft which connect to other communities in Finnmark, and the city of Tromsø. The routes are subsidized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications through public service obligations. The airport is the northernmost airport in Europe except Svalbard.

Package content:

• Every model/object inside the airport area is custom made.
• Main terminal is modeled inside (the passenger areas).
• Custom made buildings and objects close to the airport like police station, graveyard, buildings and objects related to the football field etc.
• Custom made landmarks like the local church and the big communication mast near by.
• Custom made maritime navigation marks with lights in the harbour area.  
• Custom made elevation mesh for the area around the airport with 1m resolution.
• Custom aerial imagery for the airport and close area.
• Ground markings is true to life as possible according to my information. If you discover errors, things that can be improved or things that is missing, please notify me so I can fix it for later versions.
• Have edited runway slope according to known information.

Known issues and possible future improvements:

• Issue: Some times you might experience that runway/taxi lights floats high over the surface or is missing (below the terrain). This can occur if you are arriving from another airport. I am told that this is a simulator problem and is related to how the sim updates the terrain. To reduce this problem, it might help to increase terrain level of detail and off screen terrain pre-caching.
• Improvement: Replace some bigger default buildings in Mehamn with custom made models that looks more realistic.
• Improvement: Make some adjustments to runway/approach lighting in order to get it 100% (if somebody has information about leading lights etc. related to this airport, please let me know).

In general, I would like to hear from you if you find any errors or have ideas for future improvements.

Installation:

Make sure to delete earlier versions if installed. Then, just unpack .zip file and drag scenery folder into the community folder.
