    Description

    Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport  is a public international airport located in Boone County, Kentucky, United States, around the community of Hebron. The airport serves the Cincinnati tri-state area. The airport's code, CVG, is derived from the nearest city at the time of its opening, Covington, Kentucky. The airport covers an area of 7,700 acres.

    Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport offers non-stop passenger service to over 50 destinations in North America and Europe, handling numerous domestic and international cargo flights every day. The airport is a cargo global hub for Amazon Air, Atlas Air, ABX Air, Kalitta Air, and DHL Aviation. The airport is currently the 6th busiest airport in the United States by cargo traffic and is the fastest-growing cargo airport in North America.

    -Ramp for all the Amazon jets to park at
    -DHL cargo building
    -updated DHL ramp parking
    -custom airport lighting
    -updated parking for pax terminals
    -updated taxiways for proper aircraft movement

    That isnt something included in this file. That would have to be a separate file.

    This is usable in 24, however, until they open up editing default airports, I am stuck using 2020 data for the airports.

    Sweet. I have been trying to get this ported over to 24 and will try to get it updated. Unfortunately, until they allow us to edit existing airports, we are kinda out of luck, but I can just use my 20 project and port over, though it won't be as good.

    As luck would have it. I took this from seat A1 landing on 36R. (CRJ9). This construction looks to be part of DHL. Both have the yellow stripe accent. This is to hold 2 large aircraft. It sits directly behind the DHL "tents".

    CVG is currently building a huge new hanger near the Amazon facility. This is to bring in business for aircraft maintenance and repairs. It appears to be between the 2 amazon buildings current location.

    Once I get photos and Google Earth data for it, I can create it. I assume it will be a while though. I'm also still waiting to get all my projects to work correctly in FS2024. Still haven't gotten that resolved yet.

    For anyone having hilly issues, make sure you don't have the other .to KCVG installed, then it'll work fine

    Great improvement, no issues on my end. There is a large Delta maintenance hangar between the main terminal and RWY 18L. I can snap a picture if you need anything. I live about a mile off RWY 36 L.

    For those having issues with elevation, I am working on a fix and will get it out as soon as I can get it tested. It has been reported to me that a possible issue is the GSX profile for CVG. If you have GSX, please delete the config for CvG and retest the scenery. I don’t own GSX currently, so I don’t have this issue.

    DHL North ramp is all hilly, so is the amazon ramp making the building float in mid-air. No other scenery mods installed. Also a short, sharp dropoff abeam the north ramp on taxiway S.
    Minor note: the rows of stadium lights on the DHL ramp don't exist IRL except along the north border of the north ramp by the access road.

    I will take a look at it and see what the issue is. I had no hills on my sim with mod installed as you can see in the images above. Thanks for that info. I will remove those lights then. I wasn't sure based on the satellite image.

    Version History

    V1.01 -This should fix the issue some users were having with the scenery conflicting with GSX. If you still see the issue, remove the GSX profile for CVG, and reinstall the jetway file. This has been tested by users with GSX. -updated DHL ramp to remove stadium lights per updated data.
