    Lahn Valley - River bushtrip (DE,EN,ES,FR,IT,PL,PT,RU) - Image 1

    Description

Important: The mainfile contains the Robin Cap10 aircraft model.

My second MSFS construct*1. I hope you like it and I know there's still room for improvement ;-)
Fly along the beautiful Lahn valley from Wetzlar up to Koblenz.

Available in many additional languages*2 such as:  DE, ES, FR, IT, PL, PT, RU
Available for two*3 predefined asobo aircraft models such as: Robin Cap10 and Icon A5 (amphibious aircraft)
Weather settings can be made by yourself.

    Tour details:
Depending on the aircraft model your tour either starts on the small lake Duttenhofen (with Icon A5 - sorry for the slight water touch ;-) or the close by Airport Luetzellinden [EDFL] (with Robin Cap10),
both near the city of Wetzlar. You follow the Lahn river downstream until it flows into the Rhine near Koblenz [EDRK]. The Lahn is rather a small curvy but very scenic river, mainly used by small motor-, canoe or paddle boats. If you remain below 800 feet you will have almost an one hour curvy flight trip. Have fun.
Tip: You like more action? - Then remain below 800 feet while flying and try to land on the river with the Icon A5

    Boundaries:
Not everything in the 3D-world appears so far then it should be. There are still some issues with objects and landscapes. However I hope you enjoy the flight and visit another nice area of Germany. And maybe time after time even more issues will vanish.

Third party recommendations: (Thanks to the guys who develop these sceneries, airports etc.)
    VFR - Landmarks: https://flightsim.to/file/2605/we-love-vfr-region-1
Mosel valley bridge fix: https://flightsim.to/file/4075/edrk-patch (on demand - not necessarily needed since it's behind the destination airport)

    How to install:
Both aircraft models can be downloaded seperatly and have to be extracted. After extration copy each complete folder into your community folder.
If you are not aware about where's your community folder located, please follow these instructions: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?21235-Finding-The-MSFS-2020-Community-Folder

    ---------------------------------------------------------
*1 many thanks to f99mlu (https://flightsim.to/profile/f99mlu) who made it much more easier with his tool bushmissiongen to arrange this bush flight trip.
*2 most of the languages are translated with an online translator. So if there are some strange translations you either can switch to english or german or forward me a translation which fits better.
*3 You can install both flight models at the same time.

    Have fun, cheers BWilli

I have to thank you. Good job with the bridge. Now it looks really like a bridge ;-)
(A Mosel Trip is already in the production so. the bridge will be then in again. start or finish will be EDRK as well but then - A Mosel Trip ;-)
For that reason I mentioned the bridge so far just besides if someone doing a slope first before landing.

FINALLY someone did a trip with an amphibious aircraft! I just started to fly your other trip and am enjoying it! Is there a way to build a trip where a water landing is a necessary stop? Meaning the area on water is what triggers the end of the leg? Hmmm, I wonder...

Never tried it so far. But I'll do.
Even the start on a lake which was/is not an official "airport" was a little bit tricky - Because I had to define it as airport. And although I tried to attach the local height, the aircraft start some feet in the air and plops first into the water. but it works. I would have added a water stopover if there would had been a qulified lake or similar on the way, but there wasn't.
Anyway I thought about that, too and....I love this Icon A5 as well to fly with.

    Update:
Unfortunately no good news so far.

I did several tests but..... having water landings as part of the trip and as airport alternativ that also officially counts as a stopover doesn't seem to be intended in a bushtrip so far. For sure you can land on water but it's out of interest for the system to count it.
I really did some several seetings i.e. defining waypoint as airports, taking over (real existing airports but with my coordinates - No way. Either the position is not acepted as airport and doesn't appear on the VFR or system doesn't accept my parameter set for real airports and wanted to guide me to the real airport (position).
So finally and unfortunately no real easy solution so far. And I would have really been looking forward to sea hopping in Alaska, for example, etc. :-(((

Well, the solution would be to use the water bases then. There are a couple of Alaska Water base packs on here that I use, perhaps it would work with something like that? They are officially recognized as airports in MSFS.

Alaska was just an example - And I'm sure that some "real" water landings exist which are in the MSFS database (as you mentioned) and therefore can be used as airports.
But, there are so many other nice areas in the world and in theory an aircraft can approach anywere if possible (especially a virtual one)- So finally I miss a little bit the possibility to define an area as as fictional airport to have more fun in "exotic" bushtrips.

"....There are a couple of Alaska Water base packs on here that I use, perhaps it would work with something like that? They are officially recognized as airports in MSFS. ---"
Yes they'll work but probably not to let me say it in that way, copy them to your coordinates and use them. If you add them maybe on a way from italy to spain and even if you use some coordinates in between, the final bushtrip will guide you really via Alaska :-(

Oh, yeah, that goes without saying... Someone would actually only be able to use them on an Alaska Bush Trip.

(unfortunately) exactly - at least afaik.
Haven't found any other solution yet - Even a research for build up a complete own fictional airport didn't work so far. I only found lot's of info about styling and rebuilding (already existing or at least defined) airports in the db - MSFS ist talking about 75k - anyway wow?!)
