Description
Royal Air Force Finningley or RAF Finningley was a Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force station at Finningley, in the Metropolitan Borough of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. The station straddled the historic county boundaries of both Nottinghamshire and the West Riding of Yorkshire.
RAF Finningley was decommissioned in 1996. The airfield was developed into an international airport named Doncaster Sheffield Airport, which opened on 28 April 2005. The closure of the airport was announced in September 2022 with the final passenger flight arriving on 4 November 2022.
since the orignal ICAO code EGXI has been used on another airfield in the sim i have stuck with the Doncaster/Sheffield one EGCN.
Be aware this airfield has been made from what little photos and documents exist so is not exactly as it was back in the 1960's, the ground vehicles have been painted green instead of yellow but are not from the era, until i find the correct models, I have had to cover the sat image of Doncaster airport with asobo grass as best i can and not make it look too fake.

Out of the thousands of addons I doubt that many other developers will be diligent enough to go back over their MSFS 2020 addons since the arrival of MSFS 2024.

I love these scenery addons! As we cannot seem to have AI military aircraft at this time, just having older airfields populated with classic Cold War aircraft. One of my favourite aspects of FSX was the MAIW, ACG and Team SDB etc classic airfield addons. I know it's not true to today and the MSFS is today, it's nice to land at older airfields with some really nice eye candy! Hopefully a Cold War era Alconbury and Bentwater & Woodbridge will be developed at some point!

are you able to do Leeds East airfield (EGCM) it was made already as RAF Church Fenton, which it was formerly known as, but now its Leeds East and pretty different.
