idle_thrust_scalar
I've set mine very aggressively at 0.82 and it has a noticeable effect... I think probably too much.
When on final, it's always driven me nuts that the disc drag wasn't high enough and the plane would just float and float and float. I fly the four blader, so when you go to idle, it's... um... noticeable.
This tweak (along with this mod) gets things much closer to reality. Cheers.

Below 200 is pretty "deep into the disc" and takes a second to recover out of the disc if you put the throttle up a bit.
This seemed to hold consistent at both at altitude and 130kts and on approach at 80-90kts.
Hopefully that makes sense. I'm happy to try and clarify anything.
Cheers
Edit... Omg, I just realized you asked about rpm, not torque! That's easy .. 1900.
Touching the disc (500ish torque) and the rpm will drop to 1840-ish
"Deep" into the prop is around 1780-1820.

I fly the Caravan IRL and I'm wondering if there's a way to improve the prop drag on final?
Ideally I'd love to see it effect the flight characteristics and provide the audio feedback that you get IRL. We "fly the disc" constantly here in NZ and it would be great to see it in the sim.
I'm not sure it's even possible and is probably a limitation of the sim, but I figured I'd ask just in case.
Thanks again.

Might be a few days as we're in for some not so great weather for the next bit, but I really appreciate you looking into this.
I'm also happy to provide any help I can in general.
Like one of the things that I've talked to the developer about, but they've chosen not to include is the ability to damage the engine. You can shove the throttle to max and even pull the prop back and keep flying. I think your mod does address this a bit and I was stoked to see it go past redline!
Oh, I should add since it's not always "common knowledge" that with a turboprop (in particular), you can feel a distinct change when you start "over running the prop" (going faster than it's producing thrust). It's usually in the lower quarter of the throttle range on approach.
The nose dips (from the drag), you hear an audible change in the prop noise (very similar to beta when taxiing) that scales with "how deep" you are into the prop (how much you've pulled the throttle towards idle).
We use it all the time as a (very effective) speed brake.
