LIPA - Aviano Air Base (Frida DZ Included) - Image 1

    Description

Aviano Air Base (IATA: AVB, ICAO: LIPA) (Italian: Base aerea di Aviano) is a base in northeastern Italy, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. It is located in the Aviano municipality, at the foot of the Carnic Pre-Alps or Southern Carnic Alps, about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Pordenone.

The Italian Air Force has ownership, and administrative and military control of the base. It hosts the U.S. Air Force's 31st Fighter Wing and is believed to host nuclear weapons. (Wiki)

Base has been cleaned up and there will be more work done in the future but this is a solid v1. Please see the dependancies section to ensure no issues.

Features: Custom Haz hangars and models. Ground textures and painted lines. Lighting and parking has also been done up. Lots of clutter but there will be more in time.

Dependencies: I used models from Patrick AFB, KNFL, and Miramar base game so make sure you have those. This scenery was made with WU: USA 1/2 and Italy. I am not sure if textures/models come from those WU but if you dont have them, you may run into issues.

I do plan on improving this over time so please be cool on reviews. If you see something please mention it in the comments and I will address.

Parking Map: be sure do check out the parking map in the images so you do not spawn in a haz hangar with a C17.

A lot of time and money goes into scenery. Though not required, any donations or a note of thanks is greatly appreciated. I take comments very seriously, so if you see anything that can be improved or fixes needed, please leave a comment!

Great job! I have visited this base many times. You definitely need fighter planes in a future update, namely F-16's and F-35's. Thanks!

f16s are on the way. Not sure why I’d put f35s there unless they are beginning to bring them in?

Yes, you are correct. No F-35's. I was getting Aviano aircraft mixed up with other bases planes. Thanks! Updating my review to five stars. Excellent attention to detail and geography. Well done!
