    Description

    Skardu is the most challenging airport for jetliners in Pakistan. Some people did ask me to make enhancements to this airport, but IRL this airport is just so "vanilla" that I think there is nothing to enhance. However, something has been changed recently. There is a new parallel runway which could accommodate wide-bodies has been constructed near the existing Runway 14-32, while Runway 15-33 far away has been decommissioned. This addon airport is still pretty "vanilla", nothing fancy.

    Sorry but this needed much more effort. Some basic buildings, pathways and dirt could have been applied from the stock MSFS libraries. It is just too barren to use.

    Is it normal for an airport that was 187 MB in 2020 to be 105 KB in 2024?

    Why did the capacity decrease so much?

    It is the custom CGL (aerial imagery) that contributes to the most part of the addon. The stock aerial imagery of FS2024 have been updated to be the same as the current Bing map (although not up-to-date), so it can be taken away.

    Apron should have some better markings no? Also some red and white small walls. This scenery is nice.

    Great scenery, any chance you can add some dirt mounds surrounding the apron? You can see them in Youtube videos.

    Great improvement! Can you add/elevate sand dunes near the runways like IRL instead of flat sands?

    i am just wondering how you are adding the runway arrows to the SDK? What about the runway? Do you just handcreate the materials and then adding it? Many complications.


    Anyways, I am many liking the very good airport!

    Do you mean those arrows beyond the end of the runway? They are called blast pads. There are many built-in materials for ground surfaces, which you can try them one by one in devMode

    I discovered this airport with Sam Chui video and then I watched here on flightsim.t and airport is modelized here. All is perfect 😁
