    Description

    V1.2.1 (MSFS2024) - Fixed taxiway sign location, orientation and text.

    V1.2 (MSFS2024) - Fixed LOD issues (late pop-in) on C17 and 717 factories. Added passenger terminal parking spot "stop" labels. Added details to C17 ramp. Also added a GSX .ini file.

    V1.1 (MSFS2024) - A few fixes and new features

    • Fixed taxiway lines and lights on taxiways A and B
    • Added barriers and "X" indications on closed taxiway near intersection of A and B
    • Fixed centerline turnoff lights on RW30 onto K
    • Revised passenger terminal glass to show as translucent
    • Revised passenger terminal external lighting and added internal lighting
    • Fixed ground texture issues on taxiway F near control tower parking
    • Revised control tower glass to be translucent and added ATC controllers inside
    • Added red beacon lights on roof of control tower
    • Added new handmade blender models of LB Flying Club hangar and adjacent ELLIOT Aviation hangar using custom lighting and PBR textures
    • Revised parking spots near LB Flying Club hangar
    • Added taxiway centerline paint and lights at intersection of F, F3 and RW26L (totally missed them in V1.0)
    • Added details to C17 factory and C17 ramp
    • Adjusted fencing in various places
    • Fixed ground texture overlapping near passenger terminal
    • Added white/green beacon lights

    V1.0 (MSFS2024) - Complete re-do of the entire field using MSFS2024 SDK and all it's new features, including improved lighting, ground textures, paint textures, library assets and much more.  Also applied new PBR textures to various blender models.  Updated taxiways to match latest real world airport layout.  Added blender model of the newly installed airplane spotter area near RW30.  This package also adjusts the surrounding area, cleaning up the PG blob trees, paying close attention to the approach into RW30 (Cal State Long Beach).  Download the secondary file for the MSFS2024 version.

    V5.1 (MSFS2020) - Small adjustments and prep for MSFS2024 version release.  Download the mainfile for the MSFS2020 version.

    V5.0.3 (MSFS2020) - Adjusted various ground textures.  Added details around taxiways.

    V5.0.2 (MSFS2020) - Fixed texture issue on Gulfsteam buliding... and yes, this update is for 2020 and 2024

    V5.0.1 (MSFS2020) - Fixed missing art deco terminal (turns out I accidentally deleted it... oops).  Replaced C17 factory texture with higher resolution version.

    V5.0 (MSFS2020) - Revised for compatibility to MSFS2024.  Added new parking spot in front of the C17 hangar so you can start a flight from the factory ramp.

    NOTE: Some of the generic hangars used in this package are from 2020 and do no follow the new LOD rules 2024 and will appear/dissapear closer then expected.

    V4.3 (MSFS2020) - Various updates and fixes including

    • Added lights to MD80 flightline stall
    • Added lighting around McD flightline area
    • Added additional spot lights at the McD factory ramp
    • Added lighting effects on McD office building
    • Added green helicopter pad lights at LA County Sherrif air station
    • Fixed interference between tower model and antenna models
    • Added wigwag and runway hold short lights on taxiway F3, F4
    • New and revised ground textures
    • Replaced PG palmtrees with 3D palmtrees around the airfield

    V4.2 (MSFS2020) - Revised all ground textures, painted lines and taxiway lighting.  Also corrected some minor issues from previous version.  Added H5 and H6 helicopter practice pads.

    V4.1 (MSFS2020) - Reworked the NE GA parking area, adding new fencing, fuel farm and car parking lots (and some random detailed items as well).  Added animated runway holdshort lighting and wigwag lights.  Added helicopter hover practice pads (H1, H2, H3 and H4)  in the area south of Kilo, north of Golf taxiways.

    V4.0 (MSFS2020) - Major rework of the entire airport with fixes of previous version and new major features

    • Fixes include
      • Revising lighting (some light posts were creating collission issues on nearby parking spots)

      • Revised ground textures
      • Optimized blender model vertex count and texturing (LB Fire HQ, Gulfstream hangar and airport fire house)
      • Added details to existing blender models
      • Added details/ground clutter throughout
    • New features
      • Total re-do of the taxiway network and parking spots.  Now more closely matches the current airport layout.

      • Added McDonnell Douglas production facility including the flightline, engineering/lab buildings, executive building, Building 80 (twin jet factory), Building 84 (tri jet factory) and Building 85 (paint hangar) all modeled in blender with PBR textures and emmissive lighting.  Also includes painted static MD11 and MD80 on the flightline and a static MD11 and MD80 on the production ramp outside of the factory in various states of build.  NOTE: the parking spots with static airplanes are not selectable from the world map, so don't worry about spawning ontop of them.
      • Added new fence network around the McD facility
      • Added helipads on the south GA ramp and the LA County Sherriff air station ramp

    V3.04 (MSFS2020) - Added details to LA County Sherriff air station, including ground textures.  Added 3 parking spots on the north side of the field (where the old McDonnell Douglas DC-10/MD-11 ramp was).

    V3.03 (MSFS2020) - Added custom runways.  Fixed RW26L runway length issue.  Corrected taxiway signs.  Added new ground textures throughout.

    V3.02 (MSFS2020) - Added handcrafted blender modeled Long Beach Fire Department HQ.  Replaced black glass hangar behind Atlantic FBO building with closely matched library asset.

    V3.01 (MSFS2020) - A litany of various changes in this version, including:

    • Added additional lighting around the terminal, including internal light fixtures (as requested)
    • Added one new handcrafted blender model (with PBR textures) of the old Gulfstream hangar that is adjacent to the terminal roundabout exit (just east of old Gulfstream office building)
    • Added new fencing, including vehicle gates where appropriate
    • Added new ground textures around the terminal (passenger side) and parking stuctures
    • Fixed a clipping issue with the east parking structure
    • Removed excessive parked cars and incorrectly parked cars placed by the AI system.
    • Added various new detail library assets throughout.
    • Added parked cars individually where appropriate

    V3.0 (MSFS2020) - V3 is a complete revamp of the scenery.  This version replaces the old sketchup assets I modeled 10 years ago with new, higher detail blender models, utilizing PBR textures and night lighting effects.  V3 also adds totally new assets that were not included in V1 and V2.  Blender assets include:

    • Old terminal building
    • New terminal building (with low impact interior also modeled and animated passengers)
    • Control tower
    • UPS cargo facility
    • C17 factory with 2 C17s parked on the ramp
    • Gulfstream offices and repair hangars
    • "Fly DC Jets" sign above old McDonnel Douglas twin jet factory (now Mercedez Benz holding area)
    • Parking structure 1
    • Parking structure 2
    • Long Beach Airport street sign
    • Atlantic (formerly Ross Aviation) FBO
    • Airport fire department
    • Baggage claim (exterior, north side)

    V2.21 (MSFS2020) - Fixed file structure.  Remember to download and install all 3 files.

    V2.2 (MSFS2020) - Added fencing around the airfield.  Added GA parking on the NE GA ramp.
    NOTE: All changes incorporated in the KGBL file.

    V2.1 (MSFS2020) - Compiled all 3 files into single .zip file.  You should now be able to download and install all 3 scenery packs.

    V2.0 (MSFS2020) - A complete rework of the main terminal.  Also replaced some AI hangars with closely matching library hangars.  Added control tower.
    (NOTE: Due to some conflicting texture issues,I had to break this scenery into 3 different files.  Be sure to download all 3 for the complete package.  Here's the breakdown of each file:
    KLGB - terminal and immidiate area + "fly DC Jets" sign
    KLGB2 - C17 factory
    KLGB3 - Gulfstream maintenance facility

    Many thanks for your work and choosing to portray the facility as it was before the Boeing takeover and shutdown. I was an Aircraft Systems Instructor on their twin-jets and was on the MD95 (aka B717) from the beginning to the shutdown of the line. Your masterpiece brings back memories of a very good time in my career - I appreciate it and thank you again.

    Just following up to my original post about performance. When I minimized my extra windows (edge, addon apps, etc) the perf. went back to normal. Great scenery my friend and keep making great airports like you already are!

    Whenever I spawn in at a gate, I experience very high main thread latency (up in the low 50's). I tried spawning at another airport (inibuilds KJFK), the main thread latency went back to normal in the high 20's, low 30's.

    When I spawn at gate 4 with my TERR LOD at 200 and OBJ LOD at 150 with my I7 10700K and RTX3080 GPU, I get 35fps and mainthread frametime is 25ish in the IniBuilds A320 V2, 39fps and 24ish mainthread frame time in the Asobo 737MAX, 40fps (which is my selected frame limit value) and 23ish mainthread frametime in the Leo MD-83. So, not sure what airplane you're using or what other add-ons you may have, but the performance on my old-ish system is fine.

    Also tried the TFDi MD11 PAX with full cabin and I'm getting 34fps and 28 mainthread frametime.

    Sorry I do not. I blew away 2020 a few months back, so I can't go in and check either. I used all new textures in my 2024 rendition, so that doesn't help either.

    Your KLGB is so much better than the one I got from Marketplace in the sim. That one the runway markings are wrong and placement is off as well. The only thing that one has that is realistic are the Eagle Aviation Hangers at the NE corner of the airport. I hope and wish those Eagle Hangers is to come!!??!! Thank you for your excellent work!

    Hi, been using this for a while, with the compatibility for 2024 now does your GSX profile work with this in 2024? It's still listed as 2020 only. Looking at removing 2020 and any 2020 only addons from my joint library for the two and wondering if I need to remove the GSX profile before using this in 2024?
