    Description

    Welcome to Groningen!

    This time we'll visit the inner city. Famous for it's markets and landmarks like the Martinitoren.

    This scenery was created using the Google Earth Decoder Tool ('first version') https://www.reddit.com/r/FS2020Creation/comments/j3faaj/google_earth_decoder_now_userfriendly/  All credit to it's creator!

    The textures were manually color-corrected to fit into the existing scenery as good as I could. During VFR conditions this will suffice pretty well but some times during the day the coloring will still be off/it will be darker than the rest of the scenery.

    Known issues:
    • Some flickering water is still left
    • Texture coloring can be off during some parts of the day
    • Roads are not completely level with the default scenery causing strange traffic issues like cars disappearing

    Stay tuned, I will be updating this scenery in the near future. No date set yet.. but one of the major changes will be that the Forum building is now available and it will be incorporated.

    Due to several MS Flight Sim updates in the meanwhile I'll have to figure out if anything changed to the scenery editing and if everything will work out fine.

    Once known I'll update the scenery and it will be available here exclusively.

    Hi Jaap, thank you so much for investing your flight time in this beautiful representation of Groningen. It looks great. Hopefully you find some time to extent your project to the rest of the city.

    Sorry for the late reply, I've been quite busy with all kinds of (also non-FS related) stuff... and flying a world tour...

    I'll have to look into updates sometime soon. Nothing really planned and with updates in FS appearing every two weeks I'm trying to keep up with the changes as it is while flying it, let alone building stuff.. :)

    I flew a city tour a couple of years ago and can state: this is a piece of art. Very immersive. I hope there is more to come. Suggestion nr. 1: the Tasmantoren. it dominates the skyline towards the north east.

    Voor mij werkt deze (nog) niet, helemaal donker blauw gekleurd. Een Low pass geeft echter al wel goede indruk van de bebouwing en dat ziet er zeer goed uit. EDIT: Weghalen van Gasunie gebouw helpt enig zins met de kleur maar helaas nog niet helemaal goed.

    Same issue when you set the time to earlier in the morning? The screenshots here in this file are exactly how it should be. However, I did mention in the Known Issues that colors may be wrong some times of day, especially between 15.00 and 17.00.. before and after those times it should be exactly like the screenshots.

    (PS: I have to use English in the comments here.. sorry.. :) forum rules!)

    Yep, That's doing the Job, before 12.00AM Local Time it's ok.
    I hope you will find a solution for it. Otherwise only morning flights towards EHGG. ;)

    It seems related to elevation data provided by Google. When I raise or lower the imported scenery the problem seems to go away. I'll update once I figure out how to resolve that :)
