    Garmin 3000/5000 CPDLC and Simbrief - Image 1

    Description

    This Addon adds Simbrief Weight & Balance import and Hoppie/SayIntentions/BeyondATC CPDLC to the Garmin 3000/5000 Avionics System.

    Supported Aircrafts

    • Asobo Citation Longitude
    • Asobo Daher TBM9
    • Liv2Air Cj3+
    • Asobo Cirrus Vision Jet(2024 only, Hoppie ACARS only, no weight & balance import)
    • FSReborn Phenom 300E(2024 only, Hoppie ACARS only, no weight & balance import because FSReborn already has that)

    After installing you can find the CPDLC System and the Settings under Page: Utilities > ATC Datalink.
    The Settings have moved to: Utilities > Setup > DataLink
    Under Page: initialization > Weight initialization you can load Weight & Balance from simbrief.

    Installation

    The Zip contains a Community package that works for both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024

    Trying to get this set up in FS2020 and the default Longitude on SayIntentions, but the Log On button isn't available. I'm also not able to paste the ACARS ID, it doesn't enter any text when I attempt to do so.

    Hey Liz, is it possible to include the up and down arrows in the lower right corner of the Pre-Departure Clearance screen, just like on the flight plan page? And would it be possible for it to remember what you entered when switching between the different GTCs?

    Hi Liz,

    I have found an issue with incoming free-text TELEX messages in the Garmin 3000/5000 CPDLC add-on when using the FSReborn Phenom 300E.

    Flight Log (plugin i'm currently developping) sends the complete message as `type=telex`, for example:

    FLT BDL...
    ARR ...
    ROUTE ...
    ALTN ...
    ZFW ... FUEL ... TOW ...
    END OF ROUTE / LOAD VIA LSK 1R TO FMC

    However, the Garmin only displays:

    LOAD VIA LSK 1R TO FMC

    The complete message is present in the Flight Log outgoing ACARS history and is accepted by the Hoppie server.

    The issue appears to come from `Hoppie.mjs`. Incoming TELEX messages are split using `message.payload.split("/")`, and the parser then keeps only the last non-empty part with `pop()`. Therefore, everything before the final forward slash is discarded.

    I noticed that the Synaptic A220 ACARS/CPDLC add-on had the same forward-slash TELEX rendering issue fixed in version 0.1.5. Would it be possible to port the same correction to the Garmin 3000/5000 add-on?

    Ideally, slash-based parsing should only be applied to structured CPDLC messages. For a free-text TELEX, the complete original payload should be retained. Preserving the original line breaks would also be helpful.

    fixed. I dont share the hoppie backend code between my addons and needed to get around to publish the learnings from the A220 addon(which reached a lot more people and thus surfaced this issue) into my other addons.

    Thats very hard due to the way the sim integrates sound and the works of the sound.xml being per aircraft. It is possible in theory with a seperate simobject in the cockpit but not worth the huge amount.

    you can by creating a bridge like the 220 for the terrain map data.

    i manage in my phenom AT mod to add "throttle" sound using a "bridge" so that i dont need to access the sound.xml of the aircraft

    I'm not sure how to import weight and balance into the Cirrus Vision Jet as there doesn't seem to be a 'Load Uplink' button in the GTC as there is on the Longitude and TBM. Could I get a quick pointer?

    Hello! Tried a lot of times to request pre departure clearence on ground in default TBM930 in MSFS2020. Nothing happens, although beyond atc is selected, simbrief ID is entered, the plan is loaded. What i need to do?
