    Description

    Acars/Cpdlc Addon for Synaptic A220.

    This is compatible with v1.0.6 of The synaptic A220.

    Supported Networks

    • Hoppie(Vatsim)
    • SayIntentions.AI
    • BeyondATC(Experimental)

    Supports Both ACARS(FreeText, ATIS, METAR/TAF, Oceanic Clearance, PDC) aswell as CPDLC(Speed, FL LVL, DIRECT, Position Report) functionality.
    INIT DATA Page under DLK => AOC is implemented aswell.
    The ACPT, RJCT, STBY and Refresh BTNS on the Glareshield are supported and interact with the EICAS view.

    Currently ATC Messages trigger the Caution sound a single time. DL Messages only add an EICAS CAS Advisory.

    Installation & Setup

    The Installation is standard by putting the addon folder into your Community folder.

    Everything worked perfectly up to version 1.0.4. From version 1.0.5 onwards, I can't get it to work anymore. Is there a way to change the version number? I'm currently on 1.0.6. However, ACARS is still grayed out under CNS. Thank you.

    mhh with beyondatc i cannot get it to work. i selected it and send this and click send. but i never get an reponse back and i dont see it in beyondatc. is there any tutorial?

    Thank you so much for creating this?
    Is it possible to get the ACARS set up correctly when using alphanumeric callsigns? I tried overwriting the Callsign field, but it reverted to Airline ICAO+flight number, e.g. SWR1234 instead of SWR6GT. Only changing the C/S in transponder settings would change the FLT ID.

    This would however make CPDLC unusable since it requires the ATC Callsign that vPilot uses.

    the value used for the logon is the XPDR TCAS...FLT ID. that value has to be the vpilot callsign

    Yes, but when requesting FLT INIT on the respective ACARS page, it uses the Flight number to set the FLT ID

    This s from simbrief icao_airline + flight_number. I have no other information from simbrief. The INIT DATA page is a convenience for automating the process. Setting ATS FLT ID on INIT DATA will transfer it to XPDR TCAS aswell. just by setting the value. This is the best solution i have. The FPLAN Flight number is often filled with IATA airline and such not used within the addon

    Hello, the mod is great and I definitely recommend it. However, I have a question:

    When I enter the FLT Number and the Call Sign in SimBrief (for example: SWR2811 and SWR8PT), and then send a PDC request to the controller, the controller sees the FLT Number instead of the Call Sign.

    Is this normal behavior?

    Generally you should ensure that the TCAS Callsign is the same as you log onto vatsim. Which you can set via CNS => TUNE => XPDR TCAS OR indirectly via CNS => Dlk => AOC => INIT DATA => PRESS INIT REQ(which fetches from simbrief, field: ATS FLT ID).

    The above will then autofill the ATS FLT ID field on CNS => Dlk => ATS => PDC. you can manually edit it there if needed. This field needs to be the same as you are logged onto the network.

    Version History

    * This adds a hard kill switch for the addon if the version doesnt match exctly. As it seams using synaptic v1.0.6 with the v1.0.5 version of the addon could lead to black screens.
