Tanacross lies next to the Alaska Highway right in front of the Rocky Mountains. In WW2 it was a refueling stop along the Northwest Staging Route (continuing into Siberia as ALSIB). It has been dismantled since, but runways, taxiways and apron are still there. Today it is used for fire operations and car racing during the summer.
This airport is closed, but actually you can still land there.
I have recreated runways with custom markings, taxiways, the apron and a few little extras to make it landable. But don't expect any services.
Did you get the dirt/concrete issue figure out? It’s not a closed airport. Checking the Alaska Chart Supplement and Wikipedia and the sectional. None say it is closed. We still use it for runs down the river. The runways are asphalt, though they are cracked and have grass growing up through them. No one clears it in winter because no one is there, but it’s not closed. There is no control tower.
