Description
UKMIL Blackburn Buccaneer S2 Package for FSX and P3D (Conversion)
The Blackburn Buccaneer was a fighter aircraft designed by the UK in the late 1950s. Initially on board aircraft carriers, it remained in service for thirty years and about 200 were built. It proved to be robust, reliable, and perfectly suited to its mission of attack at low altitude.
This add-on was free, but it was established to support HELP FOR HEROES (H4H) a British charity launched on 1 October 2007 to help British servicemen and women injured since September 11, 2001

They originally released this as freeware with a donation link to Help for Heroes. To continue their good works, I am including a link to donating for Help for Heroes:
https://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/give-support/ways-to-donate/
They raised around £1,772 before, please consider donating for this one too.
“REMEMBER, payware companies will ask you for £20 plus for this product, we ask you to give just £1, or more if you wish to HELP FOR HEROES”

This is a FSX/P3D Conversion to MSFS2020, this means:
- No VR
- Tail Hook is triggered through Touching Clouds Kinetic Assistant, Highly recommended for use in Carrier Operations.
- 99% of all Cockpit Gauges are working
- No Click Spots
- The engines spool up individually on spawn, first engine 1 and then engine 2. Even if you spawn on the runway, you will need to watch your PSI and RPM gauges to ensure they are both fully spooled up. Attempting to just push the throttle up and go will result in sub-optimum and asymmetrical thrust. Parking Brakes are advisable.
- Animations are good
- Autopilot works
- Recommended Weight settings in screenshots
- Permission from the Original Developer has been sought and granted (Included in Screenshots)
If every person who downloads this donates just £1 if this performs as well as the Storch conversion, we can match their original donations. So please, give what you can.

With Special Thanks to: flyndive, BrettPlays for answering my silly questions.

Update: V1.1:
- Complete Engine Parameter overhaul to create more realistic thrust values.
- The Engines still spool up one after the other, I have included a screenshot to show you the gauges you need to be watching, and at what values they are ready for takeoff.
- Made ground handling more stable.

Update: V1.2:
Despite the complete engine overhaul, some people are still complaining about a throttle issue that I just cannot seem to replicate.
However, Tiger1962 (Flea on here) over at the SOH Forums has done some exemplary work that seems to have shown results for those people. I reached out to them, and asked permission to blend it into the Buccaneer. They very kindly agreed.
It might take me a while to blend it completely, so as a stop gap, whilst I continue working on it, I have included tiger's mod as a separate folder.
Installation is the same as always, drop both folders as is, into your community folder. Load up, and go.
There seems to be a lot of unrealistic expectations as to what conversions can do. People need to understand it is not laziness, or a will to provide. But these free aircraft take time and effort. There are no click spots, because that's just how it is. That's the trade-off of conversions. These are old files being made to work on new software. Unfortunately, making everything "Native" is not easy, or quick. Therefore, VR is not a given. No one is forced to download these aircraft. They are not payware quality and never will be. But respect the people that spend their time and effort, quite considerable amounts of it, to collaborate on these projects for the benefit of others.
A lot of Devs don't allow their converted aircraft to be publicly released, regardless of how good they are, for reasons that are unknown to most of us, so cherish those devs that do!
