PMDG Boeing 777-300ER Flaps Sound Fix - Image 2

    Description

I made this quickly after finding out that in cabin view the flaps audio will abruptly end without any fade out. The mod adds a fade out for the flaps which fixes the issue with the flaps.

THIS DOES NOT WORK WITH SOUND PACKS!!!!

    Installation:
    1. Make sure you place the file you've downloaded in your Community folder
    2. Extract it and press yes when it asks you if you want to replace the default sound.xml file.
    3. You're ready to go! it is automatically extracted in to the 777. No need to do anything else.

PS: I feel like I do need to thank Boris Audio Works for helping me figure out how to do this.

Hi, so your fix DOES work with the FTSsim sound pack, just heard it on landing to San Jose. However, your fix only applies when the flaps are being extended, when I retract them, there is just the default sound. Any way you could also script it to also apply when being retracted?

OH! Really? I didn't know or even think it would! I'm actually shocked to hear that it works! :D

Yeah I was algo shocked, I just happene to change to the wing view when I landed and when I was retracting the flaps and I heard it, but can't hear it when I deploy them. Would be amazing if you could look into it and maybe add a file line or something to make it play during deployment and not only retraction :))

Unfortunately I cant help with that. This would require a completely different file to fix.

Hi, can't seem to get them to sound loudly like in your demo video, the flap sounds from the wing like in your video sound exactly like the original sounds (low and not realistic), between the outer front wing and engine, also the same however some different tone can be heard but very very low, nothing compared to the video. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks

In order to get it to be like my video I had to mute the engine sounds and turn off the APU and any fans. and enabled the electric pumps for hydraulics
