    GSX Profile for Doha Hamad Int. Airport by MXI Design

     

    Features:

    • Custom stopping positions per aircraft
    • Custom vehicle placement
    • Custom PAX waypoints
    • Custom pushback routes
    • Adjusted jetway floor height
    • Renamed and reordered parking position names
    • One profile with GSX-VDGS, one without (for Aerosoft VDGS)

    Important info on GSX VDGS version:

    In order to be able to use that version, you have to manually delete the pre-installed VDGS. How?

    1. Go to your community folder and look for the folder "mxidesign-airport-othh-doha".
    2. Open the "scenery" folder and delete the "OTHH_VDGS" folder (make sure to backup first in case you want to reinstall them).
    3. Start up the sim and see if it worked (you should only have one VDGS module per stand).

    Notes:

    • Some stands have been marked as "do not use", because either the jetway is too short or they are too close to another stand
    • Due to a GSX-limitation gate A7 will always be in front of the other A-gates

    Installation

    Extract the .zip file and move only one of the .ini files and the .py file to %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

    Yes I am also getting the pixelated pink screen on the VGDS. Your notes advise accessing the scenery via the community folder - the scenery is installed to the Official\Onestore folder, I wonder if this is part of the problem?

    So you bought the scenery from the marketplace? This could maybe be the problem. I don‘t know if you can delete files from marketplace addons without breaking anything. I bought it from Orbx so it was installed in the community folder. For me the described way worked. But I use the inibuilds version now, so I can‘t give any more support for the MXI one. My advice would be to reinstall the scenery and just use the version for the preinstalled VDGS

    Hi JulSom, I did the all steps that you have instructed but I don't know way scenery vdgs turned into pixeled pink (like something u remove in photoshop and see the background). Little guidance would be appreciated. It is been bought from markeplace by the way

    If you followed my steps correctly, it's maybe a problem with the marketplace. I deleted the built in VDGS on multiple sceneries and never had a problem with it. But none of that sceneries was from the marketplace. I'm afraid I can't help you with that. You can always reinstall the scenery and just use the Aerosoft VDGS, if the other way is not working

    Hey! I don't know how but I deleted it from content manager then reinstalled the scenery. As I parked at any gate, just wanted to customized the position, I've been asked do I want to change to profile.

    YO MAN I Don't know why when i removed the vdgs file that comes with mxi design scenery the vdgs screen becomes pink and without reponds

    Hmm, that's odd. Maybe try to reinstall the airport and then try the steps from my description again. For me it worked just fine. I can't think of any other solution

    Hey man, I also commented to the owner, also wanted to share with. It might help. I don't know how but I deleted it from content manager then reinstalled the scenery. As I parked at any gate, just wanted to customized the position, I've been asked do I want to change to profile.

    Hello, i have followed all the installation steps and deleted the default GSX VDGS , and added one ini file and py file in the %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS folder, however i still cant see the VDGS at all, just the gate number and Co-ordinates. Please let me know if i have done anything wrong or what i could do to fix this. Thanks!

    Not sure if I've done something wrong, but on 2024 I'm seeing VDGS (GSX not Aerosoft) all over the place, and not where they belong (e.g. on the runway).

    Other than that, this profile is absolutely brilliant.

    Hmm, that's very odd. I can check tomorrow, but as far as I know, there was no GSX update that could have broken the VDGS placement. And last time I checked, it worked normally. Maybe you could check if you really only have this profile installed and no other. And just to be sure: you are using the Doha scenery made by MXI Design?
