0VJF - Johnsons Farm is a Bush/Farm Strip in the Red Bluff area in Tehama County in northern California.

What is included in the scenery

This Scenery Contains Handcrafted Buildings and objects specially created for Johnsons Farm.

No additional library is needed

You will find a 2061Ft long dirt Runway 29-11 and a  600 Ft Long STOL practice and competition field with distance markers every 20Ft

This STOL field is perfect to practice your short takeoffs and landings or compete with your friends.

You can spawn in on 3 small parking spots inside the 3 Hangars (for small planes, Ramp 1-3)

Keep in mind that only one of this hangar is completely finished built, but two of them have a roof.

In addition, you will find 2 parking spots for your bigger planes to spawn in. (Ramp 4 and 5)

The surrounding area is a playground. Cletus Johnson has an agreement with all his neighbors which allow you to land on their property anywhere you want as long as you don't leave any garbage behind.

About Johnsons Farm:

Charles Baldwin Johnson was a wealthy English businessman. In 1957, he decided to gift a piece of land to his oldest son, Cletus Antony Johnson.
Cletus was 20 years old at this time and not the brightest candle on the cake. The only purpose of the gift was to get Cletus out of the family home to not embarrass the proud Johnson Familyname any longer.
Aware of his lack of intelligent, Cletus tried his best to make his father proud of him as he has realized the responsibility he had to take as the firstborn in the Johnson family.
Cletus might have been stupid, but he was an excellent and hard worker. Day by day he woke up before sunrise and worked hard all day long until dawn, trying to build up a little farm on his gifted land.
His little farm grew more and more, and his diligence started to pay off more and more.
Due to the hard work, Cletus completely forgot about himself and forgot what it means to have fun.
The only fun Cletus had, were his dreams. Dreams about being a bird, dreams about flying, about seeing the world from above like the proud eagle circling above the farm, hunting for rabbits.
In 1972 Cletus decided to make his dream to become true and bought him self a little Airplane. Cletus turned out to be a good pilot and landed his little yellow Piper J-3 Cub, with the nickname Darleen, in every possible field and gravel bar all around northern California.
He loved his plane and spent every free minute with the love of his life, how he called Darleen lovingly.
Cletus was living his dream flying around, looking at the world from above like the eagle that used to circle above the farm before Cletus hit him by accident in one of his final approaches.
Just one thing of his dream was missing. Cletus was always a family person and was not meant to be alone all these times, so he decided to take the chance and fly over to the Red Bluff Rodeo at the fairgrounds.
Impressed by his arrival in the Cub, a young lady in tight wrangler Jeans and shiny, nicely ornated cowboy boots approached Cletus: 
"Hi" she said, "My name is Darleen and yours?"
Cletus was overwhelmed and invited Darleen for a flight to his farm.
Darleen never left the farm again and 9 months later in January 1975 the Twins Ruth and Cliff were born.
The Twins had a happy childhood on the farm with a loving father and mother.
The happiness did not last too long, as Darleen got very sick and passed away shortly after.
From that moment on, Cliff had to take care of his twin sister Ruth.
Ruth and Cliff had an extraordinary relationship and were not to separate by anything.
Father Cletus fell in deep depressions and moved out of the family house in to a small shed on the other side of the farm and did not want to be bothered.
In summer of 1992 Cletus was found dead in his shed, in his hands a picture of his loved Darleen.
Shortly after his pass. Ruth gave birth to a healthy little baby boy. In honor of their father Cletus Antony Johnson, Ruth and Cliff decided to name the little boy after his grandfather Cletus.
Cletus Junior grew up with lots of love. Cliff and Cletus ment to go through many adventures on the farm and its surrounding hills.
Nonetheless, Cletus always felt something missing in his life. What it was he found out after he found his grandfathers old Piper Cub in the barn below a big pile of hay.
Cletus Junior decided to restore the old plane with the name Darleen to honor his grandparents he had sadly never met.
He enjoyed flying just as much as his grandfather did, and Cletus was finally fully happy.
In Summer 2021 during the COVID pandemic, Cletus Junior once met a group of bush pilots at the Bush camp on the other side of Red Bluff and invited them over to his place. 
On this evening, Cletus had the fun of his life, and the group decided to build some new hangars and a STOL Competition field on Johnsons Farm.

This Scenery is release as Version 0.1.0 on  June 3. 2023. I really hope to be able to continue to develop this scenery with more custom, handcrafted objects.

• added Drag Race Track at Johnsons Farm to compete with your friends or enemies in a Drag Race. It contains two parallel 2000 foot long tracks 
  with enough parking space for all the contestants. Also included is a Rule Bulletin board with the most basic Drag Race Rules.

  • 3CL2 Meadow Airstrip is a default airfield in the Red Bluff area and on the way from Johnsons Farm to Red Bluff but the Runway is covered
     with water by default. I removed the water and touched up the whole thing a little bit to make it more joyfull to fly too it.
  • 0VBB is a complete fictional Farm Strip and has not been touched much yet. (will come with a future update)
• Changed the STOL Field in to a 600 Foot field instead of 200 Yards
  • All STOL Field markers are cpompletely redone and retextred and the lines are set every 10 Foot as precise as possible.
• added Rule bulletin board for STOL woth visual gos an no-gos for takeoff and landing
• Started with some more fencing around the farm
• added some more decoration in to one of the finished "Hangar" at the STOL field with a tribuet to BurstixTV who organised the very first STOL

National STOL is going eSTOL:

         Keep in mind there will be an additional add-on for this scenery coming out including everything for the competition

• more and more fencing will have to be done
