    Hoskins AYHK V2.1 serves the province of West New Britain. 

    NOTE: This update was necessary following issues caused by the latest MSFS world update. VASI is non-operational

    Object usage: 97% default MSFS objects and 3% Superspud's Human and Animal object

    NOTE: This scenery is FREE for your enjoyment. If you don't like it you are free to delete it. It is what it is.

    Beautiful work! As mentioned I think the RNAV is a bit funky, but otherwise for a freeware piece of work this is excellent - thank you very much! :D

    Hi berrysjagger and thanks for your comment. Unfortunately the nav stuff is MSFS default. I don't touch that stuff. Way beyond my pay grade!😀

    There is some problem with terrain height around the Runway 30 end of the field. Runway slopes upward and terrain beyond runway end rises sharply

    Hi

    I specifically included the following NOTAM in my notes when I released this scenery. It reads:

    "NOTAM: The eastern end of RWY 30 has been substantially raised to prevent flooding (in case you were wondering)"

    Having flown into Hoskins many times in the real world I can assure you that the construction work done to raise the runway was necessary because the 30 end was built in a sago swamp and was often under a meter of water in the rainy season. I may have exaggerated the height a little but it still works. Flying in New Guinea is a challenge!
