This updated version does the following:-
Adds missing Papi-lights to runway 05-23
replaces threshold lights
adds helipad
removes all automated trees from island
adds extra local detail close to the airport
The island of Tiree forms part of Scotland's Inner Herbrides, off the West Coast of mainland Scotland. The island is fourteen miles long and three miles wide with a population of around 760. The island is fairly flat and there is a lot of agricultural land, mostly divided into 'small holdings'. The island also relies on tourism.
The airport is operated by Highlands and Islands Airports Limited and has a regular scheduled service from Glasgow operated by Loganair. There are also flights from Oban operated by Hebridean Air Services. Also a popular destination for GA traffic.
The MSFS default airfield is very basic and this package expands the airfield layout and adds custom-made buildings on and around the airfield, taxiway lights, taxi signs and a full perimeter fence. Several oversized wind turbines on the island have been removed.
The package uses some fencing included with the MSFS version of EGPR Barra.

This looks great and having used the real airport many times I almost feel like I am there. I was wondering though why there are no PAPIs. Default FS2020 also has no PAPIs, but the real airport has 2 PAPI lights on each runway.

That's great to know because the airport you did is fantastic! I was laughing that I could see the picnic table outside the entrance that me and my friend sat at drinking whisky last year when our plane was delayed when we were going home from the music festival.

I have absolutely no idea what is involved in designing scenery, but I may as well put this suggestion out in case is possible, and you have the inclination to do it. FS2020 has a lot of trees on Tiree which is unrealistic. 40 years ago there were literally none. Now there are a few that people have planted in their gardens where they have cover from the wond to grow, but you are talking a handful. There are hundreds, or thousands of trees on the island in the sim which would be enhanced if 99% of them were removed. You would see what I mean from photos of the island.

100% of trees are now gone. It's going to be harder to find the 1% remaining!
