Cape Town is one of South Africa's three capital cities, serving as the seat of the Parliament of South Africa. It is the legislative capital of the country, the oldest city in the country, and the second largest (after Johannesburg). Colloquially named the Mother City, it is the largest city of the Western Cape province, and is managed by the City of Cape Town metropolitan municipality. The other two capitals are Pretoria, the executive capital, located in Gauteng, where the Presidency is based, and Bloemfontein, the judicial capital in the Free State, where the Supreme Court of Appeal is located.
Cape Town is ranked as a Beta world city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network. The city is known for its harbour, for its natural setting in the Cape Floristic Region, and for landmarks such as Table Mountain and Cape Point. Cape Town is home to 66% of the Western Cape's population. In 2014, Cape Town was named the best place in the world to visit by both The New York Times and The Daily Telegraph.
Located on the shore of Table Bay, the City Bowl area of Cape Town, is the oldest urban area in the Western Cape, with a significant cultural heritage. It was founded by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) as a supply station for Dutch ships sailing to East Africa, India, and the Far East. Jan van Riebeeck's arrival on 6 April 1652 established the VOC Cape Colony, the first permanent European settlement in South Africa. Cape Town outgrew its original purpose as the first European outpost at the Castle of Good Hope, becoming the economic and cultural hub of the Cape Colony. Until the Witwatersrand Gold Rush and the development of Johannesburg, Cape Town was the largest city in southern Africa.
The city has a long coastline on the Atlantic Ocean, which includes False Bay, and extends to the Hottentots Holland mountains in the East. The Table Mountain National Park is within the city boundaries and there are several other nature reserves and marine protected areas within and adjacent to the city, protecting the diverse terrestrial and marine natural environment.

Hi, I might just start flying in SA again because of this scenery. However, my scenery loads in very slow. I start with a flat area and then it slowly starts populating in, and very long before my runway textures goes from blurry to clear?? Does anyone else experience this?

The main file is thalixte-capetown. It is the flightsim.to platform that renamed it to thalixte-capetown_3_qMQ.7z

Um, it's actually better for all the thousands of people using addon managers if you keep using the original name, with the four character extension, rather than sequencing the numbers. This is because addon managers that are capable of managing the addon from the compressed archive to the final product recognise ALL elements prior to the _ABCD as being the name, so that they can delete old versions safely.
So your "1" and "2" are fine, but finding a "3" will confuse the addon manager and it will create multiple addons - not just relance the old "1".
Anyone using any of the smarter addon managers will have conniptions when they find "overlaid" addons.
The addon manager will identift that it has two #1's (or whatever), check the date inside the archive, and delete the older one.
So you only need the 1, 2, 3 etc if you build an addon that uses more than one archive to achive it's full potential.
If you want an example, take a look at https://flightsim.to/file/26699/honolulu, which features 6 different parts to the complete addon - only incrementing the version number in the manifest file to differentiater the different versions (which an addon manager can deal with.
If you are interested in looking at what an addon manager can do for you, I'd recomment MFSAC, at https://flightsim.to/file/8349/mfs-addon-locator, which (currently) has gone through 308 release cycles without incrementing numbers, and which deals with old versions appropriately. In fact, it would also be puzzled (as I siad), by the jump to "3", and treat it as an additinal addon.
This isn't a criticism, BTW, but is intended as a contructive suggestion to help you make your addon more palatable to the consuming simmers.

Hi, and thks for this great web Platform. However, this index was provided automatically by the flightsim.to web site, and except for additionnal files, i did not see a field that would help us renaming the main file. Here, thalixte-capetown_3... is now the name of the main file, which is not logical, i agree with you.

Ok, provided it STAYS at 3 through further iterations, that should be OK, apart from the people who haven't read this exchange, and don't realize that their addon manager will chuck a wobbly on them..
Perhaps a warning based on my text above would help?
Anyway, thank you for responding so quickly. I am really trying to help, not hinder, or apply arbitrary rules of any sort.
BTW, I've visited ZA once, and would dearly love to go back again, but at my age, travel isn't in my future, I'm afraid.

Love it! Thank you so much! Any chance you can do the whole Cape peninsula as it all falls within the Cape Town metro area?
I also seem to have some holes in the mountain with the latest MSFS beta.

This is insane! You did it! Finally someone taking care of Africa and the rest of the world. What a fantastic job! Any chance you remake Mexico city? Because the available one is not optimized and almost unplayable. I bet it would look amazing.
