Description
Boeing 747-8F N747EX
This is a default 747 with a modifed fuselage to match the freighter variant. The nose door and aft cargo door are just decals and do not function.
Known issues.
-Rivets/panels do not match default model appearance, I had to modify them to fit the new fuselage and am unable to export them in a way that makes them behave the same as the default.
- "JW" on nose gear doors does not match original aircaft. I used the closest font I could find.
-Tail number color is incorrect. The game renders the hex color for tail numbers lighter than it should be. GG asobo.
- some users may experience large FPS drops. Unsure whats causing it but it's not LOD related.
If you notice any bugs please bring them to my attention.

and is a great upgrade for the plane.
It is compatible with SU12,
thanks for that

After flying for several hours, it looks like it's compatible with SU 10/ Salty. It was compatible with everything I could think of, though I am using the last dev before the autoloader for Salty was implemented. The one thing I would urge, since this is a Salty specific livery, is to implement the engine automation for startup and shutdown. It takes a couple minutes to do, but it's worth it.
I like the Boeing house livery and will use it until I have the time to figure out a paint kit for my own logo.

Besides the engine mirroring, the only other problem I see is that every Salty 747 Livery says "747-8F N747EX" now. Also suggestion: you should make this a separate aircraft instead of a separate livery.

Thank you for this realistic modeling of the 748 freight. Just minor, the GE logo on the engines are mirrored.

Incredible!!! Could you make this work/ appear as an individual aircraft to make it easier to manage with liveries in the future?

IMO it should stay the same to make it a little easier to be compatible with the Salty mod.
Choosing a freight livery would be easier than choosing a whole other aircraft and having it installed. Save on space too!

This is a game changer, especially with it being seamless to Salty -- you never disappoint! Thank you so much -- hope to see more 748F paints soon! 🙏
Edit: Small issue I observed, I am getting an old issue where the tires (both main and nose) generate smoke during taxi and take-off roll -- I heard it was an issue present due to SU5 and it is livery-specific. IIRC it's to do with the model folder having the newer 747_8I.xml, which references to a separate 747_8I_FX.xml to handle fx (incl. tire contact).
Other than that, works great so far!

Thanks for the info, I'll look into fixing the xml stuff when I get a chance.

Did you modify the original model using Blender? It looks excellent.

Woah woah woah, what?
How... How did you do this? If this works this is truly amazing.
