The province of Utrecht has been located in the former Fortis head office at 6 Archimedeslaan in Utrecht since April 16, 2012. Queen Beatrix opened the building on June 20, 2012. The building was renovated under the architecture of Peter Vermeulen and Joost Glissenaar of architects Van Mourik. Peter Vermeulen, together with colleague Roeland Dreissen (in the early 1990s), was responsible for the original design of the building.
Strukton renovated the old Fortis head office near the A27 and A28 for the benefit of the Province of Utrecht. Architects Van Mourik (in the early 1990s still called Van Mourik Vermeulen architects) was responsible for the design. Originally intended as the head office of the VSB and eventually, from 1995 to 2009, it was used as the head office of the Fortisbank. (source: wikipedia)
