Description
Mulhouse–Habsheim Airfield is a recreational aerodrome near the town of Habsheim in France. It is a former military base, and is now mainly used for light aircraft. The field also hosts the Aéro-Club des Trois Frontières, Aéro-Club du Haut-Rhin, Air Alsace. I was thrilled to do this aerodrome because of the incredible number of 4k images supplied to me by "Knack" who requested it through the community request page. It allowed me to recreate the many interesting old military hangars and other buildings directly using his images. So when you see a building it is a 3d photographic model. Much appreciated!
This airport is unique with 2 grass strips, a paved runway 02/20 and a working tower yet the runways are not lit nor have any instrument approaches.
I am sure we have all seen the video of the the Airbus A320 not pulling up in time during a demonstration at the 1988 airshow at this field. Sadly 3 people lost their lives in the crash. A memorial stands near the airport however is not represented in this version.
Note:
This airport was not optimized for frames per second. (FPS) Depending on your settings and graphic card you may experience a decrease in fps.
This is a large file due to the many images used in its production, please allow time for all images to download.
If you are starting from runway 02 left or 20 right, you may need to zoom in a bit to reveal the starting dot. Otherwise you will probably end up on the parallel grass strip.
The tower AI tends to make you take off on the grass strip 02R-20L but you should be able to request another runway, or simply take off from the one you choose.
Two hangars have starting parking with doors that automatically open. NW ramp 1 and W ramp 21.
Windy things and Daves 3D people as well as Daves Library contribute to the scenery.

I profusely thank "Knack" for his time in taking the photos and also checking to make sure the modelling was accurate.
I hope you enjoy this wonderful part of the world.
Mulhouse-Habsheim LFGB
You will enjoy this wonderful, unique airfield in the style of the true adventurous French spirit. Being very close to EuroAirport Basel the control tower keeps all the ultra lights and turbo props separate. Don't expect any night landings though.

Oh Oh! what a beautiful part of the world this is. I loved doing the research into it. Lookout New Zealand and Canadian Rockies - this is amazing flying country. I would love to visit - but for now I thank Flight Simulator, and so will you. Definitely on the list.

Hay River Merlyn Carter Airport CYHY
Hay River, now renamed Merlyn Carter Airport, is a major regional link to Canada's North West Territories. It sits on the delta of the Hay River as it flows into the Great Slave Lake, which was an important waterway for trade. The air terminal is custom created.

Porty Hardy Airport CYZT
Port Hardy is one of the most important airports on Vancouver Island and is home to Wilderness Seaplane which continues to serve the region with a fleet of Gruman Goose'. It has an ILS with glideslope on Rwy 11 - dial in 109.5 for the localizer and glideslope. It has a new terminal building in which the roof resembles the cross section of a wing. I spent some wonderful days up in that area at Telegraph Cove - 40 miles south, but have been a fan of this wild and beautiful part of Canada for years. See the artwork of Emily Carr for instance. I wanted to incorportate some of the artwork of the coastal indigineous peoples -Kwakiutl First Nations -so I included them as highlighted in the terminal building. (dugout canoe and exterior facade)

Bien que la scène semble très travaillée, j'ai les batiments en double avec ceux de msfs2024.
Moyen de faire un exclude? Merci

It looks like 2024 put two sceneries in the same file. It is fixed now. You should only see my files.
