The SETI institute operate it's own dedicated radio telescope for search of extra-terrestrial radio transmissions.
The Allen Telescope Array, in California, was financed for the SETI institute by Paul Allen, co-founder of Microsoft.
It consists of 42 x 6 meter antennas.
The SETI institute also uses observation time on other giant radio-telescopes, such as the Green Bank or Parkes observatory.
