    Cub Crafter XCub INTR3P1D - Image 1

    Description

Having designed a few things that look fabulously colourful but are fictional, SmearyGrain livery has turned to something a whole lot more work... a lot... more... work.

The Cub Crafters XCub '1NTR3P1D' is a modelling of the Carbon Cub, INTR3PID, by Spanish graffiti artist, Felipe Pantone. It was announced at the end of September with a set of images in the artists instagram account.

I have added a couple of touches as a proper nod to its real creator, Felipe Pantone. Let me know what you think.

PS. Shout out to gjcanave who forced me to do this by suggesting it in the first place

Note: Since finding that another site was uploading my liveries without permission, I have chosen to assert my copyright (written into the documentation for the livery). Please.. please... do not upload these files to any other sites without my express permission. This is for made available freely for your own personal use.

Hi all - happy to say I have tested this in update 5 and its working. Let me know if there are any issues out there.

I hope that the next thing I need to do is prep these for console use...

    Hello !

1st, I must post a late thanks for my favorite xCub livery of all times. I've been flying all over the world with it for monthes ! Oh and I have shared its existence to the Bush League Legends flying group btw...

And about that : could that livery be adapted to the different cubs out there (float/ sky/ toundra/ cargo/ tricycle gear variants) ??? I would love that really, and I'm pretty sure there could even be help from the different creators of the BLL livery packs !

Also, Ms/ Asoibo is bringing new xCub variants soon, so the move may be double-profitable ;)

Hi - thanks for the comment. It is lovely to see people enjoying the livery.

I generally don't do liveries for 3rd party planes as they have a habit of changing them and breaking the livery! I have just noticed the new varients and will be looking into converting them for those if I can.

It was a lot of fun working out his colour scheme, though it was tough sorting. The wings are wrong, due to the mirroring that MS use in the designs (nothing I can do at the moment about that) and there is a section towards the rear that I want to rework.

I may upscale it to 4k at some point...

you got the style down tho so even with the mirroring it already looks great! and what do you mean upscale to 4K ?! you mean it can get better ?!

I won't know if it gets better till I try I guess. However, other than fix the side I am figuring out what to move on to next. I am considering a 'Lego Cap10' and an A320 X series...
