Updated version of Cortina d'Ampezzo airport in the Dolomites. The airport in real life opened for the 1956 Cortina d'Ampezzo winter olympics and served as a regional airport being used by the now defunct AerAlpi to link the Ski Resort town with airports like Venice,Bolzano & Asiago. The airport shut in the late 70s after a fatal accident. Currently there are plans to re-open the airport for the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo winter olympics but in its current state the airfield lay abandonned having recently had the Hangar collapse in on itself.
The ICAO is random because its original ICAO of LIDI has been taken by another airfield for some reason.
