Description
There aren't many private jet liveries for the Aerosoft CRJ, so I decided to make one. Yet this is quite special for me: while it's tagged as "fictional" it isn't entirely so. It's a homage to the colors of the Learjet 35 that my father used to captain in the eighties. It had a very striking dark blue livery and the I-FIMI registration, and was flown all over the world in charter operations.
Of course, the livery isn't exactly the same, because this isn't a Learjet 35, but I've done my best to preserve its spirit. If you search for I-FIMI you'll be able to find a few pictures.
Interestingly, that specific Learjet is still flying today in the US under a different registration, 44 years after its delivery. Incidentally, I have no idea why this aircraft had an emblem and accents that resemble the colors of the Ukrainian flag. It was registered in Italy and operated from Milan Linate (LIML). My father himself has no idea and the owner at that time has since passed away. Unless I can find someone who knows, it'll remain a mystery.

It's worth mentioning that the author of this livery isn't associated in any way with the past and current owners of the I-FIMI aircraft. The intent of this livery is simply to provide a nice private jet look for your charter & VIP flights.
Update 1.1: moved the accents on the wingtips to the top. They simply look better there. On the original aircraft, they were at the top of the iconic wingtip tanks. You can see what they look like in some of the screenshots.

Aerosoft have made a Version 2 of this aircraft so this livery no longer works. It was over 4 years ago that you made comment on this site so I don't know if you are still involved or keen on upgrading the I-FIMI to a V2 livery but if you were, that would be fantastic because it is a really intense livery and quite unique.
As to the Yellow /blue shield there are two possibilities. It seems the aircraft was actually from San Marino , a very small Republic. Having no aircraft register of its own, aircraft from San Marino were placed on the Italian register. The Flag of San Marino is white bar above a blue bar, so that doesn't really help. But a lot of San Marino heraldry exhibit yellow crowns and crosses with images of three mountains with towers on a blue background. So the yellow over blue is prominent in San Marino heraldry and it may be that I-FIMI was adorned with a stylised (adapted) house 'shield ' that contained these two colours.
Another alternative is that someone of prominence in the company originally came from Opole Voivodeship, a province in the South West of Poland bordering with Germany. The top two thirds of the flag of Opole Voivodeship is yellow with the lower third in blue.
But I suspect the first alternative is more likely. By way of example, San Marino have since been given a registry by ICAO with the T7 prefix. A-300 T7-ASK is registered in San Marino. Search for 'San Marino Executive Aviation T7-ASK' on this Flightsim. to site and you will see an Inbuilds A-300 with a true to life livery that exhibits a stylised wing emblem, again with the yellow and blue prominent. Could San Marino Executive Aviation be an ancestor of I-FIMI I wonder?
