LTBV Imsik Airport (Bodrum)

STORY BEHIND THE LTVB IMSIK AIPORT Turkey's first private airport Bodrum-Imsik Airport located in Bodrum district of Muğla province. Located near the Mumcular Dam, the airport is 20 km far from Bodrum. It was established on the land purchased by businessman Fuat Imsik in late 80s as an alternative to road transportation due to the increasing number of visitors to Bodrum in the 1980s. Turkey's first private airport built in 1988, Then they have started flights to Istanbul (Atatürk) and Ankara (Esenboğa) airports organized by Imsik Airlines. Unfortunately airport has completed its lifetime in the real life and sold to military in late 90s, As his (Fuat Imsik) grandson i wanted to create the airport again like it is still existed to the memory of Fuat Imsik.

Bingöl Airport (IATA: BGG, ICAO: LTCU) is the airport serving the province of Bingöl in Turkey. It is 8 km from the city center. Located in the southeast of the city center, the airport was put into service in 2013. Bingöl Airport project, the foundation of which was laid in 1996 but left unfinished due to insufficient funds, was revised again in 2009 and put out to tender. The airport, whose foundation was laid again, was completed in 3 years and made ready for flight.
