    Alternate flight model for the Virtavia B-36 - Image 1

    Description

    This addon will work with the Virtavia B-36 model.  It contains only text files and will not overwrite any original files.  Just copy/paste the contained folder into the community folder.  There are changes to engine and propeller parameters, with accurate engine power output and fuel consumption.  Manual leaning of the mixture is possible.  Climb and cruise performance is more reasonable.  The fuel system was redone to the latest standard.  The tanks will fill in the proper order, using the slider, but will drain simultaneously, due to inop tank valves and switches in the original model.  Sources used were the flight operating instructions for a B-36H, which can be found on Avialogs, as well as Jane's.

    Does this mod remove the need to keybind magnetos and alternators? Also, is the full 48,000 altitude possible? I noticed with the un-modded plane that at 38,000 the props didn't want to go below 3000 rpm and the sound would cut out.

    I still have to have to use the keybinds with the mod. The fuel valve lights act a bit weird whe you open the fuel valves with a keybind, but it does work.
