    Alternate Flight Model for Flying Fries XF-11 - Image 1

    Description

    This add-on contains flight model and engine configuration files to improve engine and aircraft performance.  Climb and Cruise charts from the real airplane handbook are included in the zip.  Also, auto-rich and auto-lean settings have been added, depending on the mixture lever position.  Fuel consumption is affected accordingly.  See the cruise chart for details.  Thank you to Flying Fries for the cool airplane.  To install, copy the contained folder to your community folder.

    Weird... I don't have any elevator control using this mod in 2020. Unflyable in its current state.

    Ugh, you're right! Well, something has changed. The flaps too, wanna turn it into a lawn dart! It flies pretty much as expected in 24 though, so maybe they're using 2020 as their sandbox. Thanks for the report. I'll see if I can fix it

    I've noticed reverse thrust seems to have an issue with this mod (engines die when throttles are moved further back on landing). Is that intended?

    Not intended. I will check it out. If the throttles are moved quickly, the inertia of the propellers could cause the rpm to drop too low before the governor can recover. Try closing throttles more slowly and see if that helps. I'll provide an update, if necessary, but I didn't notice anything like that during my testing. Also, weather conditions may be a factor?

    Between 25-50% position, you will be in auto-lean. Above that, rich. Below 25% will kill the engine ( cut-off )
