    Description

    MKStudios Düsseldorf Airport (EDDL)
    This is the official GSX Profile for the MKStudios rendition of Düsseldorf Airport (EDDL) – my former home base.

    The profile is fully VATSIM-ready and covers the entire airport, including custom stop positions, vehicle placements, pushback procedures, defined engine start positions and more.

    For an even more realistic experience, I recommend using Saurer01’s EDDL bus repaint.

    Installation
    Unzip the file and place both the “.ini” and “.py” files into:

    %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\MSFS

    You can also use the Drag&Drop installer.

    When using the GSX-Version, please delete:

    noolaero VDGS EDDL
    located in:
    mkstudios-airport-eddl-dusseldorf\SimObjects\Landmarks

    Notes
    If your aircraft position does not match after spawning at a gate, I recommend repositioning manually.

    If ATC assigns a pushback route that is not yet implemented, please leave a comment or send me a message so I can add it as soon as possible.

    One question: I boght the MK-scenery via the msfs24-marketplace, so I cannot simply delete the noolaero VDGS folder. Is there a way to get rid of the double vdgs systems?

    Thank you! What I found out is that I can delete subfolders or files from the official folder but that does not help. MSFS will reinstall them.
    But I found another solution: I transferred my purchase to the contrail store (inibuilds should work as well) and installed it from there in the community folder. There I can delete the VDGS folder.

    Very good profile, every stand and every possible pushback direction is included. Custom engine start points, etc. So really really great. 5 out of 5 stars for me. Keep up the great work!

    Hi, great update. Thank you. I think the new pushback "Added pushback option for B08 -> Facing N on P4 (clear of R / long)" is missing the custom engine start position.

    Danke erstmal für deine Mühe und deiner Arbeit bei diesem Profil. Ich bin als Ramp Agent am Flughafen Düsseldorf tätig und mir sind daher ein paar Sachen aufgefallen. Bei C04 und C07 ist die Parkposition für CAT C (A320 Familie und 737) der erste Haltebalken. C06 ist zum Beispiel ein Heavy Gate für CAT E Flugzeuge, allerdings wenn ich mich mit dem A350 dahinstelle, sagt er mir "too small" und hat als Parkposition auch ersten Haltebalken, sollte aber der ganz letzte sein. Am Flughafen ist es generell immer so, dass die Flugzeuge am erst möglichen Haltebalken parken, wenn sie sich im "roten" Bereich befinden.

    Moin erstmal!

    Grundsätzlich hast du mit den Stopbars natürlich recht – allerdings gab es in der Vergangenheit auch gelegentlich funktionale Gründe dafür. 🙂(werde ich vermutlich im nächsten Update nochmal anpassen)

    Um auf die Geschichte mit dem A350 zurückzukommen (also das eigentliche Problem):
    Ja, C06 ist ein Heavy-Gate für CAT E. Nach meinen aktuellen Informationen ist es – genau wie C01 und C07 – jedoch nur bis maximal A340-300 ausgelegt.

    Konkret heißt das: Sowohl der A359 als auch der A35K fallen aufgrund ihrer Länge und Spannweite raus.

    Daraus ergibt sich auch die „too small“-Meldung – ebenso wie die Tatsache, dass dein A350 an der ersten Stopbar hält. Für diese Position gibt es nämlich aufgrund der oben genannten Thematik kein passenden Custom Stop. Abseits davon erstmal vielen Dank für die Meldung und Grüße.
