Saint-Émilion is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in Southwestern France. 

In the heart of the country of Libournais (the area around Libourne), in a region of wine hills, Saint-Emilion is a medieval city located at the crossroads of Bordeaux, Saintonge and Périgord.

Saint-Émilion's history goes back to prehistoric times. The town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with fascinating Romanesque churches and ruins stretching all along steep and narrow streets.

Saint-Émilion, previously called Ascumbas,was renamed after the Breton monk Émilion, a travelling confessor, who settled in a hermitage carved into the rock there in the 8th century. The monks who followed him started up the commercial wine production in the area.

This pack contains the following landmarks:
-La Tour du Roy, built in 1237 by order of Henry III, king of England and Duke of Aquitaine. This square dungeon was used as City Hall until 1608. It is classified as UNESCO world heritage. 
-The monolithic church bell tower, 68m high. The monolithic chuerch of Saint Emilion is the second largest of its kind in the world.
-Les Grandes Murailles are the remains of an imposing Dominican convent built in the thirteenth century. It was destroyed a century later due to its proximity to the walled enclosure.

All monuments were recreated manually from various photos and videos found on the internet and come with a POI for La Tour du Roy.
