    Description

    "Horse Capital of the World"  Ocala Florida is the home of Ocala International Jim Taylor Field (KOCF). 

    Ocala is located within a 2 hour drive from Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville and Daytona.  It is a small town compared to Orlando, but the airport is typically busy with GA aircraft and private jets.  Many come here to learn how to fly.

    In this version, using Blender, I've created virtually every building and hangar located at the airport.  Some hangars are open so you can get out of the weather or bright sunshine.  Many of the textures came directly from the actual buildings.

    The Sheltair terminal is (mostly) complete on the inside and you won't be dissapointed in the eye candy.  The airport sign is animated and scrolls through several ads.  The flag reacts appropriately to the wind direction and speed.  Dynamic lighting is replicated throughout the airport.  Taxiways and signage are correct per the actual airport taxi diagrams.  

    This will most likely be a work in progress, but there isn't much more I can add to enhance it.  Arriving by air, you would swear you were actually flying into Ocala!  If you see N264TB flying around, that's me!

    Simply unzip and place in your Community folder.  Remove ALL previous versions or any KOCF airports prior to using this one.

    Nice work on this one... any possibility of getting some love thrown at the Ocala Aviation Flight School, They've got two rows of 172s along with a Mooney, and a Twin Seminole. I could also get you any photos from the ramp side if that helps at all crwrek@me.com

    What are you looking for? I do have N596FA available on this site, but nothing else. I never got to ride / fly the Mooney (if it's the same one, I suppose it is).

    Let me know what you're thinking, and perhaps I can make it happen. If the aircraft you're interested in is payware, I have a Seminole, but not a Mooney.

    Not sure what you mean, but the Navion model was created by myself, not Hangar Studios. This model is uniquely mine. I would love to have made it more detailed, but keeping the polygon count down was priority.

    Wow, very nice airport, I didn't even know I downloaded this, but in a rabbit hole fueled by //42's Flow, and too much sleep the day before, here I am portaling across America looking at airports I didn't know I had with LNM running in the background. Thx for this TB2, beautiful spot!

    Fantastic work you have done to the airport! This scenery took me back in time; I used to fly a lot to Ocala during my ppl training, and I loved it. Happy to see it properly depicted on the sim!
