    Description

    This regional airport and it's surroundings is a highly frequented recreation-zone in the area of Fulda.
    For wintersports there are a number of drag-lifts in the ski-area known as "Märchenwiese". At summertime they are used for a spectacular slide-track with little bob-cars.
    It is the highest airfiled of Germany.
    At this spot after world war 1 gliding planes were invented.

    Unfortunately this is missing at all in MSFS.
    So I made a quick scenery including the airport appearing in the MSFS world map with runway and parking
    and a tower radio requency (edit: which has the wrong frequency).

    This is a quick edit with grond textures from google. It is not fitting 100% the position of the MSFS buildings.
    I did not edit any buildings. Just added a working runway, taxiways, parking spots and a windsock.
    You can combine it with carlo922's scenery by just copying the eder1 directory into Your community folder.
    This will just bring the ground textures and use Carlo's runway and builing.

    Is there a chance to extend the coverage a bit? The whole mountain looks terrible (and the surrounding mountains as well, e.g. the Milseburg) and the small area you improved looks really nice. That would be really great!

    Nice work! If you are looking for an new airfield to design, you can check out EDQC. It's horrible in MSFS :D

    You could only provide the satellite imagery here without the runway etc. Then you could combine it. It could also work that just the satelite image from here is used if you put my and this airport in the correct order - I can check later this evening.

    If you just use his "eder1" folder and do not use "eder0" you just use the satellite image from him. Then just use my EDER airport and you have both combined :) https://flightsim.to/file/682/wasserkuppe-eder-rhoen

    I started making this quickly before I dicovered flightsim.to at all.
    I did not check, if there is already a scenery of this...

    No, mine is very simple as stated in my description.
    BUT it has a working TOWER radio on the correct frequency.
    Karlo922 did really a good job at his EDER version, but he left the ugly MSFS ground textures.

    The other one is only a couple of megabytes in size, so yours might appeal to other people if it has more objects, etc.

    Hi, mine should also have working frequencies and also all slopes etc. are correct. You are fully correct that the ground textures sucks - I just did not updated them because I was unclear about what is "ok" to use

    You could only use the satellite images from here and use it with my airport.
    If you have any other possible improvements just tell :)

    I just again looked in the offical documents from Aug. 2019. The frequency should (according to those) be 120.130 for "Wasserkuppe Info" which I also included. The only other frequency is on this operation chart "FIS - Langen Information" at 119.150. Where do you get the 118.65 from? I specified it as "UNICOM" as from my understanding it is not a real "tower controlled" airport. But this could easily be changed if this would be not the case.
