Description
Le phare du Cap-Ferret est constitué d'une tour tronconique en maçonnerie lisse blanche et partie supérieure peinte en rouge, jouxtant un bâtiment rectangulaire abritant la salle des machines, l'ascenseur et les logements.
Construit en 1840, il est détruit en 1944 sous l' Occupation . Reconstruit en 1947, il est automatisé depuis 1995.
Le phare fait l'objet d'une inscription au titre des monuments historiques depuis le 6 novembre 20091 .
