Description
This is a picturesque landscape located at the foothills of Snowdonia National Park in North Wales.
This scenery covers a large area including Caernarfon town, stretching as far as Llyn Padarn and Llanberis.
Optimized for performance and faster loading times
I have optimized this scenery by baking textures together creating a smaller texture count during loading and flight. For example, where a particular folder may have thousands of texture files, this can become very heavy on PC resources and performance. The more of these photoreal scenery there are, the longer the load times can be.
For this particular scenery, the original texture count of all folders is 20417 textures. After blending/baking the textures together, this has brough the texture count down to 1601 textures. You can imagine the significant improvement this will have on performance and load times!

Hi John, any chance you can update this at some point? Im not sure if's an Asobo POI or from Orbx Caernarfan airfield which I also have but the photogrammetry castle and POI clash together and the harbour bit next to them contains a lot of ugly photgrammetry blobs. Also, and I'm not sure what is causing it, there are some strange artifacts on the river as you fly over to the Caernarfan but which disappear when you get there. I'm guessing it's a clash either with the UK world update or Orbx's airport here?
I can see you haven't updated her for over a year so maybe that's why? I'd love to have it fully working as its a night and day improvement of the village overall.

really appreciate people doing this for us north walians how do you create photogrammetry yourself? say if i wanted to for llandudno to rhyl including colwyn bay old colwyn etc etc?

I easily manage 30 in daylight, but dusk and dawn my GPU hits 99 and FPS tanks...to mid 20s. At night it hits 95 percent and 27 fps
But....VERY nice although currently may be removed until I upgrade from my 1080 to a 3080 !
FUN FACT... the water by the docks and castle when in the Icon, are like walls .... at least they stop you !

I will revisit this one very soon to optimize the LOD management. That will make a huge difference to GPU/RAM and CPU load. Will do some tidying up to terraforming and trees too.
Just wrapping up on a Norway scenery I am currently making, then will do this one.

I had Orbx's version in P3D.
Sandane is another corker.
Looking forward to stuff like Alta, Bergen Tromso etc.
Don't know if anyone is doing Hammerfest. With its sloping runway, that too, would be Gorgeous !
