Description
PMDG 737-800 TUIfly (D-ATUM - 2018)
Fellow simmers,
Here is my Livery of the PMDG 737 for MSFS2020.
The PMDG line of products use their custom utility called The PMDG Operations Center (OC2).
To maintain your entire PMDG fleet of aircraft (The DC-6 as well you own it), also provides you with a very easy way to install/uninstall/update your liveries. Please follow the detailed instructions below to install this paint. It may look like a lot of steps, but I made sure every step was covered from download to install.
NOTE: I will not offer this as a “Drag and Drop” livery as this method, while operational, does not ensure everything is created properly in the complex MSFS folder structure. When painters use the OC to package their paint, the installer takes care of all the items needed (json updates, aircraft .cfg edits, etc) automatically.
Also…should updates to the aircraft become available, the OC ensures all items are updated properly.
Here are the instructions:
1. Extract the PTP file from the downloaded zip file.
2. Place it anywhere your PC (typically the downloads folder).
DO NOT place it in the MSFS folder structure, including the Community folder (The OC2 will properly extract it there and update the Layout.json file automatically)
3. Press the Windows key on your keyboard
4. Type PMDG
5. Select the PMDG Operations Center and open as an Administrator
6. Follow these steps when Ops Center is open.
1. Click the Aircraft and Liveries menu
Choose Livery Utilities
2. Select the Simulator,Select the Product,Select the Variant
3. Click Install from PTP file
7. After the Open window opens, navigate to the folder you saved/extracted the PTP file to
8. Click Open.
9. Done
If you have any issues with the installation of the livery through the OC2, please contact PMDG Support at https://support.precisionmanuals.com/Main/
You an also go to their forums as many members can help with issues and the support team monitors there as well.
A special thanks goes to PMDG and the beta test crew I had the privilege to work with during the development of this fantastic plane.
Credits: All base textures included in my paints are included by permission from PMDG, as with any livery created by 3rd party painters

Can you make a cabin without a monitor just like it is in real life? Tui does not have monitors on the seats

Can you do the "OM-GTI"? It would be great

Thank you for this great livery! I found a small bug, but it appears this is on PMDG. Even with their default livery the cargo door texture when opened stays where the door was https://imgur.com/a/WV6lvk7

Thanks for pointing it out! I'll check to see if its written up already, and if not I'll write it up for the Devs to fix.

Can you not upload them as PTP files
Unfortunately not. I will not load them as "drag and drop" because it can cause all sorts of problems in the future when PMDG updates the plane.
I give very detailed instructions on how to use the PMDG Ops Center to install my paints, its only a few easy steps and ensures that the paint will install along with its profile (which is stored outside of the MSFS file path) without issues and not break when there is an update.
Its way too much work for painters to constantly go back and fix existing paints after a model update from the vendor breaks their paint...we'd much rather spend our time giving the community new paints rather than constantly fixing old ones. :)

My comment was worthless at this point because I just found out how I download liveries for the 737 Thanks a lot man and great work on the livery!
No worries! Yeah once you find how to do it thru the PMDG Ops Center, you'll see why all the painters recommend installing this way. It works perfectly, puts the files where they are supposed to go, and the best part is that if PMDG updates the plane, our liveries will still work. :)

Great livery! I have only one issue. My window struts are black instead of grey as they are in real life. Do you have the same issue?
The texture is a little bit buggy. The Tuifly font needs to be a little bigger

Thanks for the input!
Is it a specific side you're referring to or both? When I position the logos/text for painting, I get a good side-on pic and scale it to the paintkit master fuse. As you can see in this pic, the text is above its normal position in its actual colors, and I made a dark blue copy directly over where it should go on the fuse...you can see the faint outline of the TUIfly int the real pic behind the blue text.
I'm not sure if I can get it much closer but if you can show me the pic you're looking at that shows it too small please share and I'll see if I can adjust it a little better. Please remember that over the years when she changes leases, they slap those stickers on again and again, so the reference pic I went off was from 2018.

I did some more looking and I did in fact may a slight error.
I fixed another TUI livery, and will be updating this one as soon as I can. Thanks for the feedback.
The hard thing about TUI is that the planes change operators so often that everytime that happens, you have to look at the specific for the time period that you are painting and match it....you can grab pics of the same reg over a few years and you'll see that TUI text move around....LOL...its frustrating!
Can you make a Tuifly Reg, which currently also flies with Tuifly? The D-ATUM has now been flotted out...

Just what i was looking for, thank you so much!
