    Description

    Southwest Airlines "Freedom One" for the PMDG Boeing 737-800. 

     Features:
    • Custom Southwest Airlines cabin
    • Accurate SWA-specific stencils
    • Realistic SWA aircraft/equipment configurations pre-installed
    • Cockpit and exterior weathering
    • Improved textures and metallics
    • Southwest Airlines cockpit decals and placards (IDG Stickers, CATIII plate, Broadband Wifi Panel, Airworthiness/Registration Information, Yoke Evacuation Checklist, etc)
    • Southwest Airlines pushback tug
    • Paintkit/Base textures improvement in partnership of Atarium Liveries and Comet Liveries 
       
    Installation: 

    1. 

    - Open the PMDG Operations Center v2.

    - Aircraft and Liveries > Livery Utilities > Installed Products > PMDG 737-800 > Install Livery from PTP.

    - Delete any previously installed iterations of the livery. 

    - Select the "N500WR - Freedom One" .ptp file to install

    2. Because aircraft configurations don't always save properly, I've created a "Southwest Airlines 737NG Configurations" document to assist in setting up SWA liveries to correctly mimic their real-world counterparts. Verified by Southwest 737 pilots as well as other 737 pilots. It is included in the download, and you can also view it via this link: SWA 737NG Configurations

    This is one of my favorite liveries for the 738. Design is awesome. Love how the taxi light moves with the nosewheel. Nice work!

    Love the livery. The only thing that seems slightly off when i zoom in over L Entry 1 it looks like there's a stray black line. It's not enough to bother me but figured id note it

    I'm not seeing any unusual stray black lines. If you're talking about the slanted line on the left side of the L1 door, that's supposed to be there, that's part of the 737's door mechanism and is included by default from PMDG. I really would like to have a consistent 5 star rating, so if this is not the issue, please let me know.

    since the hotfix or whatever MSFS recently did, The configuration files are no longer working, and ALL my other liveries from you also have been reset, I reinstalled my aircrafts, reinstalled your .ini files as well, and the configurations still go to default configs??????? any ideas, or do you need to make an update? or is it possibly because I have not installed the latest PMDG update?

    Hi there, yes I recommend you always have the most up-to-date installation of the PMDG. I haven't had any of those issues with configurations, but try updating your PMDG and see what happens.

Unveiled on June 18, 2021, Freedom One celebrates Southwest Airlines' 50th anniversary and serves as a tribute to the employees, military, and nation that Southwest has served over the past five decades. Excluding "Warrior One", "Heart One", and "Heart Two", Freedom One is the first special livery for Southwest fitted onto the Boeing 737-800.
