    This be EKVG - Vagar airport in the Faroe Islands.

    A fine place to stop off for your transatlantic hopping. After an eternity this is officially in the sim so this is now an upgrade of the existing site. 

    All ground textures disposed of. New ground markings added. Fencing all over. Light applied where it counts. Detail aplenty thrown down.

    This has a new taxi system. There are two helicopter parking spots - 100 and 101. There is also a hangar start inside the Atlantic Airways hangar which is space number 6. 

    On the main apron spaces 3-5 are large GA with a full set of ground services. There's also all the fuel you can scoff. 

    You may thank Simon Nordendal of Azurafiles for very generously granting permission to use the Vagar custom buildings he made for his payware versions for FSX and P3D. These definitely tie the joint together. 

    He also supplied a mountain of reference photos to improve this version.

    The 2024 version is two folders - a modellib compiled in 2020 as I can't be bothered to follow the new LOD rules, and the actual airport stuff compiled in 2024. 

     

    2020 V 2.9

    Improves some details here and there. 

     

    2024 V 1.1

    Adds the same details and attempts to address the hosed terraforming that appeared out of nowhere. There will no doubt be some weird lumps left over. Since it all had to be done at an impressive 3-4 fps I well and truly couldn't give a toss.

    Beautiful freeware. It's payware quality. Amazing work. I'm using FSLTL AI Traffic in MSFS2020. When a Boeing 757 lands from FarCargo, it disappears after landing. Is there perhaps no parking area available that's large enough?

    Hi, Downloaded this one today, but I am not sure if I am supposed to put both folders for the 2024 version in the community folder or just the one "2024" version and then the "modellib" file from the 2020 file. I first installed the scenery putting both folders into the community folder but then got the wierdo tenticle crash when I ran the sim. Guess that means an issue somewhere? Thanks for any help, your other sceneries are fantastic, so I have high hopes for this one. Great work.

    If it has 2024 in the name, then stick the folder in there. It's two for the 2024 version because I can't be bothered to adhere to 2024 model standards so the models are generated in 2020.

    It look very nice but in 2024 I have quite a few pink building/ hangar? Not sure how to fix that. Thanks

    Terrific scenery. Details are numerous and the runway is well done. I utilize your libraries in my sceneries, and I wish that you'll continue to work on the as well.

    This airport scenery is still amazing and far superior to its payware counter part.
    A fresh parking stand has been built recently for the FarCargo's 757, I uploaded a picture showing it and found a reference on YouTube ( https://youtu.be/M8-hcvurFcA?si=G-g1n5k8gd2pDbJD&t=143 ).
    It might be useful when the BlueBird's 757 comes to MSFS ? haha

    I was there a few weeks ago. How did I not notice all those newly painted buidings? Hmm. There's an incredible amount of building going on. They're massively expanding everything and flattening huge areas for new stands and hangars. Didn't notice the new stand either. I might need to wait for an updated aerial image to nail it properly.
