    Description

    SUPPORT IS ENDING ON JAN 1, 2025.   This means the leaderboards will be going away.   The client should still work after that.

    A race tracker and leaderboard for supported courses. Show everyone your skills by being able to turn right as well as left!!!  

    The following courses are supported, with more to come in later versions.   

    Gable Field (KRKT)

    Silverstone (EGBV)

    Mach Loop (EMAC)

    Salt Lake Air Race (KENV)

    Lake Geneva Air Race (LSGL)

    MeeshTrax

    FSESL Ascot, UK

    FSESL Cannes, France (RCSFR)

    FSESL Gdynia, Poland (RCSPL)

     

    To install:

    • Unzip to your community folder
    • Start the server in atp_race_server
    • Start MSFS2020
    • Enter your Gamer Tag
    • Press save
    • The server will connect to the sim

    To start the race:

    • Go to the closest runway to the course (KRKT)
    • Open the ATP RACE panel
    • Press "Start"
    • You will be teleported a short distance from the first gate
    • Go through all of the gates
    • If you cut a gate, or are too high, you will scratch
    • You must have at least a 1/4 tank at the start of the race

    Hello, is there still an active Air Racing community in MSFS or MSFS2024? where would I go? is there a DIscord?

    its not working mt side ! wierd. followed the instructions in the readme for Race Tracker, I see a checkered flag menu button. I tried hitting tab start but not counting. Any suggestions? in the past i did work

    I downloaded the Mach Loop Race Course by Granitsky and followed the instructions in the readme for Race Tracker, but I do not see a checkered flag menu button. I tried hitting tab but that didn't work either. Any suggestions?

    The race tracker is possibly the most useful utility for racing series within the sim - a brilliant piece of work by the developer. Looking forward to the addition of the rest of the FSESL courses

    Would it be possible to support racing of ground vehicles? Perhaps a switch in the course.json file that would "ignore_ground"? Vehicles like the Juice Goose are getting some attention, and I've built a few race tracks that sure could use a timer... :) I think that just ignoring ground-strikes and starting without forward motion should do the trick. Unless there's something else I haven't thought of.

    Yes, there is going to be a release that supports ground coming out shortly.

    Wow, amazing, just did the Silverstone RBAR circuit with the Extra in 1:06.71...

    Just love it since I worked @ RBAR also in RL, amazing :D

    btw, would be really cool, to implement the real rules, but it may be really frustrating for beginners...

    If it helps, I may be able to provide coordinates from some original Red Bull Tracks (so exact coordinates and heading of the single gates).

    By the real rules, do you mean level wings at the double gates and staying below the gates? The altitude restrictions I could do. Right now I am giving a 100 ft buffer, but maybe I should pull that down…

    yeah exactly, that's what I mean. Maybe you could do different modes (no idea, how difficult it is to do that):

    beginner mode: Just race, doesn't matter if wings are level or 90° bankrookie mode: max bank +-30° at double gatesexpert mode: max bank +-10° (or even5°) at double gates

    Because I think for beginners it's quite hard to fly wings level at all double gates and they might get frustrated really fast and stop racing ^^

    maybe add another mode for people like me, which makes the flight 75% slower, like "slow motion"... to be able to handle it anyhow... 😢

    I could see that as a fun addition, but I also agree that not everybody (or every track) should be constrained that way. But even as it is, this adds a very nice competitive spin on the Sim.


    I'm currently working on a very technical mountain course that would not only require a very high-performance plane but also a pilot who really knows his/her way around an aircraft. And just making it through the pylons is challenge enough!! haha Asking for "wings level" makes me say "You gotta be kidding!" :)


    As for the requests for "more tracks", all I can say is "We're working on it" These things take time and they're more work than you think.
