Description
This repaint, which requires the Microsoft Local Legends #5 (Beechcraft Model 18) product to be installed, depicts the restored Beechcraft C-45H Expeditor USAF Serial No. 52-10656, registered in the US as N9550Z, which is based in the Czech Republic at the Letiste Mnichovo Hradiste Airport in Hoskovice, Central Bohemia.
This aircraft was originally manufactured during World War Two as an AT-11 Kansan for the US Army Air Force, with USAAF Serial No. 41-27425. It was therefore originally fitted with a top turret, bomb bay, and bomb sight installed within a glass nose for use in bombing & gunnery training. In the early 1950s, after having been pulled out of post-war storage, it was one of hundreds of AT-11s that were sent back to Beechcraft and remanufactured as a purely transport variant, designated as a C-45H Expeditor, and given the USAF Serial No. 52-10656. Unfortunately I can not find any information about the aircraft's military service/assignments. After having been sold surplus, the C-45 was first placed on the civilian register as N9550Z in May 1961. The aircraft then passed through a number of private owners through the next few decades. In the 1990s, the aircraft was restored in the color scheme of the USAF Military Air Transport Service (MATS). Initially it was named "Elaine", but this changed to "The Redhead" following its sale to Paul Stockman of Denton, North Carolina in 1999. In 2010, the C-45 was reportedly sold a new owner in Denmark, though the aircraft has since been based in the Czech Republic at the Letiste Mnichovo Hradiste Airport in Hoskovice, Central Bohemia. The C-45 has been able to remain on the US register through being registered to the Texas-based owner trustee named Aircraft Guaranty.

Repackaged for MSFS 2024 Compatibility (MSFS 2020 users need not re-download) When using this repaint in MSFS 2024, make sure to leave the ATC ID entry blank to prevent the dynamic registration from being added to the side of the aircraft. I have not figured out any other way around that.
