Description
While there is nothing at all wrong with the stock textures, I thought that, with the Local Legend #5 Beechcraft Model 18, the bare metal examples could perhaps use a bit of a fresh polishing (take off some of the oxidation). This package contains tweaked versions of the three stock bare metal liveries for the product, which is installed into your community folder, so that they all may appear as if they have been given a good buffing. The installation is just drag and drop into your community folder, so if you don't like the adjustments, you can simply delete this folder from your community folder and the textures will return to as original.
In addition to adding a bit of polish to the metal, I have also adjusted the appearance of the silver-painted fabric sections (ailerons, flaps, rudders, elevator). Also, it appears that in the stock textures, the developer mistakenly left off the proper textures for the three vent scoops on top of the fuselage for the "black top" and "white top" bare metal paint schemes. With these adjusted textures, I have painted those vent scoops to match the color schemes, which to me looks better than leaving them bare metal as before. On the "black top" version, I have also darkened the black on top to match the stripes (which aren't the same value in the stock textures).
Beechcraft Model 18 "A Fresh Polishing"
Enhance the appearance of your Local Legend #5 Beechcraft Model 18 with this add-on package. Featuring polished bare metal textures and updated fabric sections, these adjustments provide a refreshed look to your aircraft. Simply drag and drop the files into your community folder for easy installation and enjoy the revamped visual details. Adjustments include painted vent scoops to match color schemes and darker black stripes for a more realistic flying experience.

This livery looks very beautiful ─ it 'shines' in every meaning of the word! I don't have the Beech 18 in my hangar, but this might be a reason to buy it. Thumbs up!
