    Description

    "kui pasy airport" is the airport file and is required for the airport to function!

    the "main file" is satellite imagery and is optional but reccomended.

     

    This mod adds Eareckson Air Station (PASY) and Shemya Island, Alaska (US), which is missing in stock MSFS. Shemya Island is one of the easternmost and westernmost islands in the United States, and most of it is an abandoned military base. The airport has a single 3050x46m runway 10/28 and has no tower. 

    There are 2 files, the main file is the sateliite image file and the airport file is the second file. You can use this airport without the satellite image file installed if you don't have ssd space but i have not tested it.

    The satellite imagery uses the USA2 source which from what I know can be distributed as freeware with attribution.

    When you click Download it just downloads a zip file which does not include the airport file. It did not give an option to choose anything. Nothing at all at this airport when i went in.

    Where is the Airport file?? All that shows up
    is the terrain imagery.

    After clicking on the big "Download" button, you can choose which file to download. The one chosen by default is the scenery; after downloading that one, you have to click the button again and choose the airport file.

    Please consider adding ILS28 (Freq 110.10 Course 287 deg ISYA) into the scenery. Otherwise a perfect scenery to practice crosswind landings in often low visiblity!

    Would love to see the big massive radar installation which is positioned on the northwest corner of this island and viewable on Mapbox satellite imagery in high resolution (Volanta, for example), but great work!

    Loads great, but I found it via Google because it doesn't show up on the Scenery Map. You should update the upload with coordinates or let the map managers know it's not visible

    whoops! Wait, I just realized the map terrain wraps but the icons do not! So this being beyond the Date Line it shows up on the other side of the map

    I really wanted to see this airport, but unfortunately for me it did not show it on the map and the game crashed. :(

    the scenery works for me, maybe a new addon or setup conflict i do not know about can cause this?

    Is it possible that this scenery package no longer works with the latest update (1.13.16.0)? It seems the satellite imagery is visible, but when you get closer, regular vegetation appears, and none of the structures are there. When planning a flight, FS 2020 also doesn't seem to show this airport.

    it works for me, make sure you have the airport file installed (its the 2nd file)
    if this does not work it could be something else ????????????

    This has got to be the most difficult airport I've landed on with 30-40 kts crosswinds; but because of this challenge I keep coming back to this location. It's a nice add-on but the ILS for runway 28 is unusable. I don't necessarily know how to correct the coding but the approach course should be at 287 (according to published charts) not 360. It should be easily corrected by changing the CDI but it's an on-going bug in MSFS that once the ILS is tuned the course cannot be changed.

    Version History

    I updated the airport file, adding runway signs and modifying textures, and adding rocks around the island. You can now download both the satellite image and airport file separately, if you already have the scenery download, only download the new airport file and replace it, no changes made to the satellite image file.
