Japan Cargo Terminals & Ports V2.3
This add-on features an extensive scenery update for cargo terminals and ports across Japan, including major cities such as Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Osaka. It is compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024, with several versions enhancing the details of various ports and production facilities. The latest update (V2.3) ensures compatibility with World Update 20 and introduces additional enhancements to the Nagoya area. The scenery focusing on the port's gantry cranes and containers is very unique, and I think it's an effective technique for making the aerial view look realistic.
I've been using it for a long time.
I sincerely look forward to the updated version that addresses the overlapping areas introduced in World Update 20.

Do you know if this works OK with SamScene's Tokyo addon? That also has docks / cranes.

Is there at least a way to exclude the Tokyo dock's cranes and still have the other ports?

The cranes overlap with SamScene cranes, but unless you look very (very!) closely, they'll appear just fine, and you'll get more small details such as ships, night lights, and containers. Check the screenshots in the user gallery. I'd say it's worth it.
