    Description

    A small but growing collection of small GA airfields in Switzerland to improve on the very limited fidelity of the fields included in MSFS2020. The fields are all in one package (with separate BGLs for each airfield) to reduce community folder clutter and dependency issues for common assets.

    The primary focus is on function and accuracy, and we’re just starting to get into custom objects eye candy.

    Release 0.16 brings some upgrades to existing airfields and WU6 compatibility.

    All but LSZK and LSPG (these need some more extensive rework) have been made compatible with WU6:

      • New patches for artefacts on the ortho photos (LSZI got an alternative aerial picture over the whole field)
      • Heightmaps and some corrective terraforming to make the airfields conform to the lovely SwissAlti3D Mesh. This is really not a pretty solution - but unfortunately for several reasons we still have to do this.

    Some other upgrades:

      • Custom runway lighting for LSGE, LSGC and LSGY. Every single light has been separately put in the correct place (we hope).
      • Slight improvements in ground markings (with custom painted lines) for LSZI and LSPH
      • Active runway indicator panel for LSZF

    If you feel like improving your home base to a higher level or you have even already started doing some work - why not consider joining us and experience the power (and fun) of team work. Even if you're not into development work: Having a local contact to provide information, measurements or photos would be valuable.

    Warning: This scenery add-on contains a configuration that inhibits fuel trucks and follow me cars from spawning for small GA parking spots. Unfortunately there seems to be no way to restrict this configuration to specific airports, it applies globally - which may or may not be something you want anyway.

    There might be a bug that inhibits moving vehicles to spawn on all types of parkings instead of just the smallest ones. As a workaround the LivingWorld_Config folder can be deleted from this package.

    Installation: Just unpack the zip in the community folder.

    If you have other (more detailed) scenery packages of some of the airfields there are two things you can do to make it work:

    • Make sure this folder is alphabetically before the other scenery in the community folder. If the other scenery is done properly it should override the respective airfield in this scenery.
    • If the above solution doesn't work, delete the respective bgl file out of the scenery folder of this package.

    Sehr schöne Arbeit! Danke dafür. Es wäre toll wenn die Flughäfen einzeln installiert werden könnten. So kann man Sie mit anderen Mods kombinieren.

    your scenery makes dead/stop any ground vehicle traffic atr any airport over the whole earth... seems to happen something with your files in folder "LivingWorld_Config" or "AirportServices"

    Thanks for your feedback. Finally got to try it out now.

    It's in the LivingWorld Config. We were aware that it affects all airfields worldwide as it says in the "Warning" section of the description of this package. According to the documentation our configuration should only inhibit the vehicles for the smallest parking type - and I seem to remember having tested it with an earlier version. But now, as you say, there doesn't seem to be anything moving anymore.

    Without this configuration file we get lots of cars and some fuel trucks, container loaders and passenger buses on the smallest of grass strips.

    Suggestions:

    I will file a bug report with zendeskIn the meantime you can delete the LivingWorld_Config folder out of this package (I will also update the warning text accordingly)I might look into the possibility of making a separate package that contains nothing else than this specific living world config. So people can more easily decide if they want to install it or not.

    many thanks for your description about the not-at-all-clear statement and description of SDK, and that it is not possible to set the Traffic only for the custom airports... meanwhile I deactivated that folder and it seems to work

    Downloaded and installed this, however I have a request: can you please add at least a single screenshot of each airport you've updated? Otherwise I'm unsure if I have it installed correctly. For example my first flight was out of LSZV and I can't tell if it's yours or not.

    LSZI looks now much better but its still far away from the real thing. The smaller Building should be more like a regular Restaurant with a outdoor dining area and the Spielplatz is missing.

    Great work. But it looks like most of your airfields cause huge terrain spikes from far away. Once you get closer, they disapear... but from the distance, most airfields have huge terrain spikes :/

    Hi, thanks for reporting this.

    So far I could reproduce it for LSZV and LSPH. How bad it is seems to depend on the "Terrain Level of Detail" setting. As I normally have that setting on 200 it is nearly invisible on my old screen. On which airfield did you find it was worst?

    Anyway - We'll have to fix it. Maybe as a hotfix (yay, we'll get to do a hotfix).

    MSFS terraforming really is the stuff of nightmares. In a perfect world we wouldn't even have to do any of it - after WU6.

    I saw it also with LSPH Winterthur, and LSGE Ecuvillens.

    Probably it happens with all of them.

    Im Anflug auf die Bahn 12 von Bad Ragaz (LSZE) steht eine Reihe von Bäumen. In Fotos vom Flugplatz scheinen mir das nur Gebüsche zu sein, die die AI wohl zu ausgewachsenen Bäumen aufgeblasen hat. Wäre es möglich, diese Bäume zu ersetzen oder zu entfernen?
