    Description

    Townsville Australia WU7 Cleanup

    Hand made main airport tower which was completely missing.
    Cleaned up photogrammetry mess at the Port.
    Removed heaps of trees from places they shouldn't be. (Bridges, port, on raods)
    Hand placed 3D ships in the Port and boats in the Marina.
    Hand placed 3D containers at the Port and deleted photogrammetry mess.
    Placed 3D antennas on Mt Stewart and Castle Hill, removed botched Photogrammetry.
    Added real water to the rock pool on the strand, casino swimming pool, heaps of dams and lakes and town swimming pools.
    Realtime weather effected smoke from ships generator stacks. (Download Dependency if you want it)
    Removed Amazon jungle from Strand and added some palms best i could.
    Added my own hand made big Australian flag out near Hospital/JCU roundabout.
    Fixed some bridges around city that had water over them.

    Hate to be that guy, but can you make a version that's compatible with impulse simulation's Townsville scenery mod, please? They have everything you have (Even a bit better, which is because it's payware), but your mod has the ATC tower. In a nutshell, a separate mod that's just the ATC tower so it works with Impulse Simulation's payware.

    Hello,

    I created the Impulse Simulations Townsville scenery, the reason i did not do the control tower is because the airport will get done before long and it will conflict.

    You don't want to run this scenery with the payware version lots will conflict. To make it compatible i would need to strip 99% of this mod.


    I'll make the Control tower a separate download like i did with Cairns one. :)

    I'm a bit confused by this comment and I have bought the payware version, so is basically 100% of the stuff in this freeware is applied to the payware (which obviously has more than this)? Therefore I can remove this freeware from my community folder and still get the full mod plus more through the payware version?

    They payware has everything in this mod, but better and more, except for the ATC tower

    Yes, basically the Payware does what this one does (without tower because airport will eventually be done by somebody).

    However the pay one also adds custom models instead of just in game assets (boats, marinas, shipping markers, radar towers, jetty etc) and replaces most the cities high rises with custom models, also the big Aussie flag is animated with wind speed and direction. :).

    Delete this free one, it will only conflict.

    Townsville, is now totally worth flying into with the recent Australian update. Notably there are many individual hobbyist doing there best & giving up there free time to fix up all of the issues with Townsville from the MSFS default and also make significant improvements to not only Townsville, but all of Australia. What is not seen, is the countless hours of modelling and testing in the back end before it makes it to here.


    To all of the men and women making significant contribution to Australia and in particular Townsville region, thank you So much. I am so looking forward to Seeing all of the Australian Military Vehicles, Vessels and Marinas, Railways, trains and crossing, New Stadium and custom vegetation and so much more that is coming..


    Thank you for making my flight simulation experience really awesome. Been doing it since 1987 and this is by far the best Sim for me ever..

    Sorry to nit pick, but the LNG carrier (ship with the 4 spheres) wouldn't be at the wharf because there aren't any LNG facilities in Townsville, at least as far as I can tell.

    I flew from Cairns to Townsville last night after the update and I thought something was off. It looked way too rural since I visited there in 1992 while in the US Navy. Looks like another flight around is due.

    Great work and can't wait to see what else you add. The large round about leading to the ring road near the JCU could use a big Australian flag pole.

    I live in Cairns so my knowledge of the area is ok but not exceptional.

    The only other poi I can think of is the 2 small ww2 lookouts at the tip of palarenda.
