Description
Until a few years ago German air carrier Lufthansa used to operate an old Ju 52/3m built in 1936. This plane was delivered with floats to Lufthansa in April 1936 and registered as D-AQUI. It passed through several hands, was refitted with a landing gear and was reaquired by Lufthansa who used her to transport passengers for over 30 years before retiring her.
This livery recreates the historic livery of 1936. There are few photos available so I took some creative license with the fuselage. The plane carried the name "Fritz Simon" in 1936 and later "Kurt Wintgens" between 1940 and 1945. I decided not to include those two names.
The livery in this package is available for the 1939, the Skis and the Floats models.

it's only the livery. You have to buy the Ju 52 from the Marketplace first.

The swastika emblem was stolen by you know who, the fact that this is now history is a reason why it should be shown on the tail of an aircraft depicting an historical part of that time. If it offends anyone which it shouldn't, think of the usages that symbol has had, Google it if necessary but don't censor it for the sake of censorship because of someone's feelings. keep our hobby politics free. No one says anything if its at the back of a Stuka or Messerschmidt on another craft.

You mean Adolf Hitler or Voldemort?

Woke people who want to erase history. Voldemort wasn't real.

Great recreation of a historical plane.

Nice - thanks for uploading this, really enjoying flying this beauty. I fell in love with this aircraft after watching Where Eagles Dare as a kid - don`t suppose you could make a winter camo paint scheme like that?

For the next few weeks I don't have the time unfortunately and I have to admit I am not very good with camo liveries. Try putting in a request here on the site, or contact the other guys who already did Ju 52 liveries. I am sure someone will be able to do it.

I did forget the folder when I uploaded the update today, but corrected the problem within 20 minutes. I also just downloaded the livery again and the "replace me" folder was there

Great job. I love it. I would like to endorse the request for the retrofit version based on the D-CDLH that is owned by Lufthansa and it is named Berlin Tempelhof. It would be great to fly a Ju-52 that still exist in flying conditions. There are great videos on this particular plane on YT.

The D-CDLH (D-AQUI) from Lufthansa is already available here:

Unfortunately this plane no longer is in flying condition. Lufthansa retired her a few years ago because she no longer stood up to modern safety standards and repairing her was too expensive. Currently she resides in Paderborn. The fuselage can be visited in the local Quax Aircraft Museum. The goal is to refurbish her to rolling condition, but she will most likely never fly again :-(

Is there a way you can make that "replace me" DDS file MS2024-compatible?
